As I am due to go on holidays in early April and hoping to lose the belly before then. Just wondering would it benefit me a lot to give up drinking? I normally head out with my friends once per week on a drinking session with contains points of budwiser and maybe drinking vodka then later in the night. Is it best that I cut out the gargle to lose the beer belly ive got?

You didn't mention anything about post drink food (I normally get a big dose of the beer munchies) which if avoided would also help. I'll be frank with you here just by giving up the beer won't get rid of the belly by April, althought I did read somewhere that you could lose up to a stone over 12 months (depending on height, weight etc.).

Instead of just giving up the beer why not change your diet on the other 6 days and do a bit of exerise be it walking or whatever. Read similar posts from people looking to lose weight rapidily and with little effort and you will see the same advice. There is no quick fix, but take it from me with some decent effort on your part you will notice big improvements come the summer.

Post your normal weekly diet (be honest) including drink and others will offer you some great advice, read the stickies for a head start. Who knows if you but in enough effort, on the weekly session you might be able to drink bottles of beer (someone wisely posted that bottles were better than pints) say bottle of beer, water then another bottle.

Anyway good luck what ever you decide to do and again take it from me it's well worth the effort.
