HRTA Birthday Game - 17th February 2008

Sunday the 17th of February marks the One Year Anniversary of the opening of HRTA, to mark the occasion, the Irish Airsoft Association, in conjunction with Paul Carey (the owner of HRTA for those that dont know) are holding a charity day at HRTA on that day.

A full day's game will be at the reduced rate of €20 (usually €25) and all proceeds from the day will go to charity.

Rentals will still be available on the day as usual, however rental costs will not be given to charity.

The IAA would like to thank Paul, Mel and all those who have made the last year at HRTA (old site and new) an excellent year for airsoft in Ireland and we wish you continued success in the years to come.

Hope to see you there on the day and throughout the year.

I won't be able to attend because I'm going to be away that week, but I might throw Paul a few bob towards whatever charity it is before I head off.

I say everyone brings a cake. That'd be a heck of a feast if everyone turned up with something. Even if it was only a swiss roll, it'd make for a pretty interesting (and tasty) change from the salad rolls I normally bring on skirmish days. I might even bake a triple chocolate cake, haven't done one of those for a while now.

Wonder if the IAA would like to invite some sort of media people to the event? would be good publicity for the sport., it could be a piece in a newspaper or maybe someone from one of the big radio stations.,

I mentioned the radio before, a fun event like this would be ideal. The first person to spring to mind would be Ray Foley from Today FM. He, and his producer JP McArdle, have mentioned an interest in airsoft several times since he attended the T4BB show. Frankly I reckon they'd jump at the chance to go, be it in official Today FM capacity or simply as interested parties. Always pays to make friends
