Meringue with splenda?

    Hi there!

    Can I substitute splenda (the pretend sugar!) for sugar when making meringues?

    Simple question, but I don't want to have a disaster in the kitchen, again, if I can help it! Thanks a mill!

    You can but best to use castar sugar.

    here is one for you


    250g egg whites
    pinch of cream powder
    500g cater sugar

    mix egg whites and cream powder for about 15 mins till it peaks. then slowly add sugar and bake at 100c;)
