Are they any use? Unfortunately I cant really exercise too well at the moment (bad breathing problems the last 6 months), so only a little bit of walking is the only exercise I get. Just wondering if these things are worth getting? Had planned on gettin into shape until I got sick.

    cheers

Unfortunately getting in shape isn't as easy as putting on an ab belt and letting the pounds melt off. Muscle stimulators are meant to be used to prevent muscle wasting in cases where a patient is going to be immobilized for long periods of time - e.g. people that are bed-bound for long periods, or have a limb in a cast for weeks or months at a time.

If you carefully read the web sites that advertise these machines, you'll find that they aren't quite lying about their claims, but they are very misleading.

You might want to consult your GP or another health care professional about alternative ways to help get yourself back in shape that take into account your current health status.

    Hope that helps.
