Work out longer or harder?

    I've started going to the gym a few weeks ago, and discovered it's not quite the hell I thought it was! Anyway, it's a 20 minute walk there, which I use as my warm up. In the gym itself, I use the cross-trainer. However, I'm wondering is it more effective for weight loss to A) train for more time at a constant medium resistance, or B) Train for the usual 45 minute program, constantly increasing the resistance every session or two?

    You can only increase the resistance in your 45 minute programme so much before it peaks out. You can extend your time only so far before you burn out. Think combinations. Combine exercise with proper diet if you want to increase weight loss. Cal count below burn rate per day is the way.
