Wrap a rasher around em, throw em in the oven for 20 mins.

    Food fit for a king.

cut 'em in half horizontally, to make them thinner, and cook them in a hot not stick pan for 45 seconds or so each side. They'll be moist and juicy and not overdone at all :)

I actually don't like them with the foreman grill, find them a bit chewy or rubbery...
I know its good for removing the fat but not keen...

whats good to accompany chicken and add a bit of flavour? maybe salad with some low fat dressing????

Boiled chicken breast is lovely, moist and keeps the chicken flavour, my favourite by far..

Chop it up, throw some paprika or lemon juice, garlic & black pepper and then steam it.

Healthy and tasty. Plus takes minimum effort.

Same here, I press my palm ontop and cut parallel to the chopping board. It also allows more surface area for marinates and spices.

Flour them with the skin on(;)), throw them in a pan and fry in olive oil. Remove, set aside and fry some garlic and anchovies for a minute, add in some red wine a bay leaf and a sprig of rosemary, two tins of chopped tomatoes and a handful of olives. Return chicken breasts season with salt and pepper bring to the boil then put it in the oven for 1 hour-1hour and a 1/2.

    Serve with Al dente tagliatelle.

    Absolutely gorgeous.:D

Well first off, I get some butter. I then proceed to absolutely whore the butter out of it. The I get out the pan, and throw a few litres of oil in. Chuck the fillets in and voila.....the best damn chicken fillets in the world.

Really though, yeah a bit of George for me. What would people suggest to eat with the chicken fillet? I'm not a man for tagilatele, the sauce is horrible.

I put them on the Foreman and cut them up into strips, and through on a bit of pepper. Or I cook them in a pan and cut them up into chunks and normally fry mushrooms with them...

I BBQ a lot of meat, even did while in Dublin out on my BBQ !

Try here for a few. BBQ best way to cook !

    http://www.nandosperiperi.com/chicken.html

They dont give the recipe that the standard marinade is in but I have a pretty good version of my own.

Dont really know quantities as I make it as I go, but heres basic ingrediants. Marinade in a air tight bow over night. Then BBQ over hot coals...yes even in Jan !!

    olive oil
    lemon or lime juice
fresh hot chile peppers, minced; or cayenne or red pepper
    garlic, minced
    ground coriander,
fresh or dried parsley or oregano, chopped
    salt

Needs basic cooking skills to put it all together succesfully, try googling for measures if you aint got them..:)

I chopem up and fry em with olive oil, some ground garlic and black pepper and a chopped up pepper, then throw some korma sauce or something like that - maybe bolognese sauce (with pasta if so) and have with brown rice. Takes ten mins and is lovely...

brush them with olive oil, use a sharp knife to butcher them as thin as possible, and grill in a conventional grill until done. simple and effective!

How long does it take to boil them if you havn't thinned the breasts and can you "over-boil" them?

    Cheers.

Put your fillets in a bowl with lemon juice, olive oil, coriander seeds (that you toast in a dry pan and grind) and salt and pepper. Leave in fridge for an hour or two. Put into a hottish oven for 30 mins. Take out of oven and leave sit for 10 mins. Slice diagonally. Serve with a drained can of puy lentils tossed with some fresh chopped coriander, seasoning and a squeeze of lemon juice. Make sure to pour the cooking juices over the lentils. It's yum and healthy. Rachel Allen recipe.

I forgot to say that before you marinade the fillets, cut deep gashes into them. That way they take up the marinade flavours and cook quicker.

    I like mags16 recipy above.

If you are going to cook them whole keep in mind the thicker they are the longer they take to cook / more chance they are pink on the inside.

Lay them between two sheets of Clingfilm / Cellophane and beat them with a rolling pin. This both satisfying and will flatten the chicken.

This is good for grilling - ya don't need a george forman.

As suggested olive oil them up and sprinkle with Cajun powder. Grill and turn over when more than the top half has cooked. You shouldn't see pink when you cut into them.

They make a strange whining sound too.

If you cut them up you can stir-fry in some olive oil - again the larger the pieces the longer it takes to cook.

Once you've mastered the grilling and the stir-frying you'll prob want to add flavours. For stir-fry you can use some green Thai curry paste with oil and then add coconut milk when the meat is cooked.

    enjoy

Thanks Flaka. Yes make sure there is absolutely no pinkness inside the chicken fillet. A nasty bout of food poisoning is not a fun way to lose weight!! I normally cut into the biggest fillet to check and if it is pink. If it is I put them back in the oven for another 10 minutes.

If you are not handy at cutting, or dont have a very sharp knife then you can just stick the full fillet on the pan, cook both sides, take it off and slice down the centre horizontally, to make 2 flat parts. Now the inner pink bits are exposed and can be put directly on the pan.

It is easier to cut partially cooked chicken than raw chicken.

As above, how long do you boil a fillet for?

I stopped doing mine on the george unless I'm in a hurry. I now cut grooves in them and baste them with olive oil, lemon and crushed garlic, roast them in the oven for about 40 mins. Yum.

Boiling sounds interesting though? How long?

boiled chicken breast... I've never tried or had it, it just sounds wrong to me.

What happens to all the juices?
    Is 100oC hot enough?
What can you do with it once its boiled?
