The song you sing when drunk

Simple as it sounds - what song do you choose to massacre when you've had one too many?

For me it's 'Killing Me Softly' by the Fugees, which is unfortunate because it's a hard song to sing sober, let alone whilst flutered.

Usually something by The Monkees, predictably enough.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,326 ✭✭✭Zapp Brannigan

Hey Jude is always a good one.
If someone has a guitar it's always a challenge to try The Hurricane. I've made it passed the fourth verse once, but I usually always forget the lyrics and skip towards the end.

Depends what song I'm learning at the time.

Once I learn/get bored with a song, I move on to a new one and subsequently forget one I just learned.

Yes I suck. Currently, It would be Ryan Adams - Come pick me up.

For some reason, my friends and I went through a phase of singing Sunday School songs when drunk. That was a bizarre time... poor taxi drivers!

The other song I tend to sing drunk is "More than Words" by extreme.

When very drunk, I've been known to belt out the Saw Doctors "Green And Red of Mayo" on the Nitelink home....I know I know, I should be ashamed of myself!

    Bohemian Rhapsody...
Always a good one for a crowd of drunken lemmings on the massively underestimated walk home or to a taxi...
We normally save the head banging backseat shannagins for when a mate is driving us home..
so many times he has nearly lost control of the car cause of the bouncing...
    :D
