I spoke with Sean's dad Raj at lunchtime today and was told that Sean passed away early this morning.

Sean began playing poker with me nearly 3 years ago in the Spawell. One of the my greatest rewards from running poker tournaments was providing Sean with outlet in poker, I will miss him bluffing players out of pots with Ace Rag.

A testament to Sean mental strength was on Monday he finished his final exam for his Diploma in Accounting in IT Tallaght.

We've lost not just a poker player but a friend today. You'll be missed.

    JP & Christine

P.s. I will be holding a minutes silence on Monday before my tournament. If all tournaments could do the same it would be greatly appreciated by Sean's family.

RIP Sean. He loved poker and could play some. He qualified to the EPT London with us this year just as I started working for PPP. At the time I was really delighted for him to have got the opportunity to play in such an event.

I can't believe it, I've played poker against him a load of times and he seemed like a really nice guy.

My thoughts our with his family and a real loss to all. A example of how to live life.

Such sad news, I'm still in shock, Sean you will be sadly missed by all who play JP's games regularly, you were always there and always smiled playing the game, I especially loved your smile after you were caught bluffing,
Sean was one of the best players in our game and had the best record in JP's monthly games in the Red Cow, along with PPPSpecial, which some of the better players in Dublin played in quite often, He was one of the easiest guys to get along with and I had a lot of good laughs with you and Bin, you will be sadly missed.

Very sad news, I used to enjoy watching Sean get a way with murder using his 'rocky' image - don't know how Raj kept a straight face!

Deepest condolences to Raj and Sean's family and friends.

I`m really shocked by this, very very disappointing, I echo what others have said and that he was a perfect gent at the table, and very easy to get along with and never let his disabilities get in his way. It just shows how poker is the great equaliser and that he was able to enjoy it, and play better than anyone around.
Sincere condolences to Seans family and carer, who I know will be heartbroken. Im glad he was able to finish his course in ITT too, really shows the charachter of the man.
    RIP Sean, Joe
