Review of Prototype this week which takes the format of a rather funny compare and contrast to Infamous.
He likes them both equally, and I agree with him

Thought it was very funny this week, specially the bit about Mercer flying around by shooting blood out his wrists, like an emo Peter Pan.

Emo Peter Pan FTW. Classic stuff this week.
He's right about the extendo tentacle tho, two whacks will take out a gunship and a half a block of civies.

The devastator attacks are pretty cool tho.

Unless there's some disturbing DLC coming for either game.

He's right about the constant reviving your team mates. It gets annoying quick.
I quite like trapping ghosts tho...

Again, who the hell is the guy in the vid ? This time his photo appears near the beginning when talking about what's stupid and what's not.

It's nobody famous. It's this guy here, a friend of a German photographer called Thomas Ruff.

has anyone seen this? It's a little old, but I thought it was hilarious, probably because I also think Joss Whedon is utterly overrated

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,976 ✭✭✭✭humanji

Joss Whedon gets hot girls to jump aroung in tight revealing outfits. How can anyone hate him for what he's given us? :D

The Australian Gamers podcasts get kinda depressing.

Thanks Humanji, that bugged the crap out of me for ages.

Yeah, I kept meaning to look it up. I thought it was Rick Astley too, but it also kept reminding me of a serial killer from years ago. In the end all I had to do was type "Who is the photograph of in zero punctuation?" into google and it came up :D

More like conclusive proof that Yahtzee will say anything just to get a reaction. He clearly knew rattling off about Whedon would spark a heated reaction from his co-presenter (the guy caught in the middle had obviously heard it all before judging by his impatient tone), but Yahtzee I suspect gets off on being the last-angry man type who gives off about everything!

nah hes right about joss whedon and the points he makes are valid. shoddy shoddy low brow writing. whedon only does 2 characters... none of which have depth. whedon writes for reaction, ironic isnt it? everything about whedon and his writing seems to be done in this weird ass-licking tone where every character is constantly trying to one-up each other. bet he got bullied at school, seriously. you can see it all over his work.
yahtzee just has high standards.. and why shouldnt he?

because he thinks he's showtime and hbo when he's really just low brow fox

You know, I'm all for hot girls in tight outfits, but at least accept what you're doing. Don't try to put some pseudo purpose to it all when you can't write for sh!t. You know I actually respect Pamela Andersons "V.I.P" more, because you can see they said "you know what, we know our writing is sh!t so to make up for it we're going to have shed loads of explosions, martial arts and gratuitous amounts of side boob"

But I like that you at least recognise the depth of Whedons work: hot girls in tight revealing outfits... I guarantee he has a tape recording that plays that line on repeat when he needs to pitch a new show. He probably just tacks on a few words at the end of the description:

Hot girl in tight revealing outfits [in space] [no memories] [fighting vampires]
