I get mine from mickk-the supplement store on camden street.Alternatively you can buy them from his website,www.irish-lifting.com His prices are very good. There also good places such as Jons place in Phibsborough, which im told is very good aswell.
Whatever you do,take the advice of people from this forum with regards to where to buy supplements and stay well away from the likes of Tony Quinn shops.

????????? as www.irish-lifting.com and fitnessireland.ie would stock pretty much the same lines what ever you got from Jon you should be able to get else where. ( that said pronutrition and irish-lifting would be my 2 of choice however fitnessireland also has some of the best customer service that I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with as well as having good prices)

Hollands and Barretts on Grafton St have it on sell, 50% off or thereabouts.

They have another shop in the ilac for what it's worth. I went in there to try some of their "not horribly priced now that it's half price" whey but walked out with a bulk up stuff by mistake instead. Be careful OP, they have them just stacked up and some seem to have been mixed in.

Just got some casein protein from there shop and price seemed pretty close with other places??

I'm also interested in this. Is this the stuff that ye'd recommend?

Not sure if irishlifting is cheaper but it has more choice and very, very good customer service.
Ask them anything and you'll get a fast answer. Good to see :)

I get this stuff now and again alright, can't beat the price, but think it's a good idea to vary different protein (& any supplements for that matter, fish oils, multi vits, etc.) brands so body gets a change and help balance and what not.

Don't know about vanilla or choc but stawberry is nice and stay away from banana  it tastes like raw eggs! The only way I can use it up is chucking it in a smoothie!!

I'd recommend nutritionx. I've limited experience with whey, but it's 100% positive on their front. choc mint + milk = yum (IMO).

Just got this stuff yesterday. It says to throw one level scoop into 125ml of water / milk / etc. This seems like very little liquid to me. Do it matter if I add more? Also, I generally go for a run in the mornings before work and do a weights session 3/4 evenings a week. Is it a good idea to use the whey protein after every session or just weights sessions?

What flavour did u get? I think if you add too much water it tastes too watery :p (god I should be a brain surgeon!!) and prefer it to have a bit of taste so I use bout 200ml water. Still not that much though and I've always wondered why they make those protein shakers so big?? Everyone to their own (some people might not like the taste) so trial and error and you'll soon find out!

I always have a scoop right after weights as everyone and their ma seems to suggest and othertimes I tend to listen to my body so if for eg. the following day I can feel my muscles saying "you bastard" I'll have some in a smoothie if I'm not training or a shake after cardio if I am

I'll second that. Just got my first order from bulkpowders. Very good value, very quick delivery. And the quality seems good.

I use fitness Ireland when I'm stuck or if I want to try out some Irish (Nutrition X) products. I find their product range and customer service good. Dare I say it here:eek: but I think even Nutrition X's products are a bit pricy for what you get. Nevermind maximuscle (not Irish of course) which is a complete rip off.

Given the state of the dollar now most of my recent orders have been bulk buys from bodybuilding.com, there is a bit of hassle in the initial setup but once you make your first order you're off. I usually order a 6 month supply of fish oils and whey protein. Each order is about €300 and I save about €100 compared to Irish prices and often gain on quality as well. Four or five orders later and I have not had any probelms with customs. And being american of course, their customer service is excellent. :p

Roll on the scare mongers:eek: The Irish vested interests are always very quick to jump on the US imports.

Ah yes.. that makes perfect sense. Ireland's a rip off because the dollar is weak and the US economy is falling apart!!!

I paid delivery charges of 42% of my last order and it still worked out cheaper. Maybe even 20% cheaper. In theory you could even sell with a modest margin and still under cut local suppliers.

We simply don't have the scale of market or comeptition here that they have in the US or even the UK to encourage lower prices. Nutrition X produce quality products for a small market with a modest margin, cheap they aint.

That's my point, its a bit short from saying Ireland's a rip off in fairness.

Just ordered of bulkpowders.co.uk I'm a newbie when it comes to this stuff. Great Forum guys and girls. Keep up the good work.

Is they're normal flavored whey protein ok ?

Hi, how is it to buy from bodybuilding.com it seems to be very cheap and never bought supplements online, would there be any extra custom charges on them and is it only good if we buy them in bulk, pls let me know. thank you

    Yes to charges mate.

Even if the goods are zero rated for vat the likelihood is they could slap on Vat and Duty on the total package including shipping.

Not saying that this will happen but it could and nowadays I would be safe to suggest you are more likely to pay the charges than to slip through without getting noticed.

Therefore overall you are better buying from with the eu if possible.

That must be every single supp site on the internet then because they were the cheapest I found for what I buy - ON Gold Standard.

I dont think you can judge a site by comparing what brands they sell versus a different brand that they dont sell from another site. Apples and pears.

And when it comes to whey concentrate or isolate what difference does a brand name make?

    Thats for another thread methinks!

Not debating which is the best of anything. Just saying that for what I wanted I got it at a great price and was delivered exceptionally quick.

    3 x myofusion for 112 quid is a pretty ****ing special price. 7kg for 112 euro= 16 euro a kg.

Other option is bulk powders. 5 kg of wpc flavoured, 2.5 kg of pmc and 1 kg of egg white for 98 GBP + 8 quid delivery = 123 euro for 8.5 kg = 14.50 per kilo.

Not much in it to justify that it wont taste as nice and I have to mix it myself! Hmmmmmmmmm
