    Alright folks,

Been busy with work lately and haven't had time to make the gym. I've been looking into buying a treadmill as I think it may be the best piece of gym equipment give me a good base of fitness on days that I can't make the gym.

Someone advised me against it though as they said treadmills are very hard to keep maintenance wise and you have to buy 'wax' for the treadmill.

Was just wondering what people on here thought. I've had a look on VJs and am looking at spending about a grand so this one looks likely but but would it be any good?

I bought one for about a grand a few years ago and I wouldnt do it again to be fair.
I had it upstairs and the noise in the house when someone was running was very loud! You had to try and run when there was no one around. Downstairs would be fine though.
After about 14 months the belt messed up on mine, so its currently sitting and not working. And I hear that happens a lot of them.

I'd get an exercise bike if I was going that route again, much less hassle.

I bought one recently and love it, bought it on adverts for around €200, you'd be much better off buying one for as little as possible (once its digital) and hoping for the best, rather than spending a grand and getting 12 months out of it (my 2 cents anyway!)

Horizon paragon III, have it about two years, hasn't let me down, Star Fitness in Bray stock it. Approx 1,000 Euro.
