I know i am not a body builder but i have a decent (good looking) toned physique with good chest/arms/shoulders. But am afraid that my tummy proves to be my culprit now. I started doing exercises like air bike, crunches before 2 weeks. Pls throw your suggestions to reduce my tummy to get a good shaped abs.
You see, i cant cut short my food as i need those calories for my weight training i do atleast thrice a week. And my BMI gives me a perfect figure.

You'll have to drop body fat. You cant do it in specific parts of your body so an over all body fat drop is in order, the saying "a sixpack is made in the kitchen" springs to mind.

On another note, you rarely see the word "thrice" these days.

My advice - don't sweat the six-pack, it sounds like you're going fairly well other than that so just keep at it IMO. You can always go on a short diet later if there's something particular coming up like a holiday that you want a 6-pack for.

Main problem is, i totally neglected ab exercises when i started my weight training before an year. Probably i presumed i ll never end up with this tummy. still its not that big but it looks very awkward for my upper body.
    My Diet -
B'fast - Honey nut flakes in 400ml of fresh milk
Lunch - say around 3 cups of cooked rice + boiled egg (but lamb/chicken curry with rice atleast twice a week)
Mid snacks - 2.5 scoops of some calorie drink (around 350 calories)
Dinner - Again 4.5 cups of cooked rice
Before bed - 2 scoops of calorie drink - 300 calories

That is a lot of rice which is carbs, hope it is at least brown rice. Not great for trying to lose fat. You really want a lot more protein and less carbs. What are "calorie drinks", hope it is not just a load of sugar you are drinking before bed.

Are you for real?! So your diet is cereal with rice and calorie drinks, whatever they are!

Fruit, veg? Protein? Am I right in saying that you have a good bit of muscle but still have a bit of a belly? You'll want to get rid of sugary cereal in the morning for a start - try porridge. Cut down on rice and up the meat and veg. Also get rid of 'calorie drinks' - go for water!

    Not nearly enough I'd say.

Although, we've now seen it thrice in this thread.

yeah. sounds better idea. I ll change my Bfast from full fat milk cereals TO porridge with low fat milk.
Then coming to calorie drink, its Prolab drink which gives you right amount of calories (not from sugar) and Protein in it. It really works for me. I was n under weight of around 5 kgs before I started this weight training program. Not i am exactly n perfect weight.
Yes. I do have good muscles - again, not bulky but good toned.
As someone said, if i start cutting down n my food i am afraid that i might end up loosing weight. Isnt it?

    Isn't it what?

If you cut down kcals a sensible amount (15ish %) under your maintenance kcals for a day, while upping your protein and lowering your carbs you should lose fat and not muscle.

I've seen some bad diets, but man oh man does yours get the cigar.

Are you telling me you JUST eat rice one meal a day? There is no excuse for that unless you are an 18th Century chinese peasant. Where are the vitamins? Where's the protein? Where's the food?

Chuck out the calorie drink, it's only papering over the crevices in a diet that is deficient in everything your body requires to build muscle and stay healthy. Stop eating all that rice and buy some fresh meat, eggs and vegetables.

If you keep eating like that you WILL have health problems.

On another note, how could you eat that much rice every day voluntarily?!

That diet looks like a form of torture. Just change it up like the lads suggested above, it'll make you feel waaaaaaay better - more energy, and far less lethargic.

Give the guy a break. It sounds like an non native english speaker. Perhaps the calorie drink is actually a protein drink.

If it's made by ProLab, then it's almost certainly N-Large II (weight gainer, I also use it).
