I want to get some markets up for the Irish Open.

If you intend to play in the Irish Open and want your name listed on the betting then please pop it up here (if you dont want anybody to know your name then just PM me please or email me at nhayes[at]paddypower.com)

If anybody has any suggestions for some interesting markets then let me know.

If you want to suggest some interesting match bets then please do so.

I will put up a boards last longest market but it will be closer to the time.

hit me folks as I dont want to be going back adding people every other week if I can avoid it.

    thanks.

I was looking at this yesterday? Am I in the boards market yet Noel? I wasn't yesterday, although I was in the main market (very efficient). No biggie really as I can assume I would be 33/1 anyhow given the other prices in there. I can;t check the link from here and won't be home til later as I am going from work -> pub(soft drinks) -> Fitz.

Just a quick question off topic, If you qualify online and for some reason could not play the event can someone else play it for you ??? or cash alternative ???

It's just a quiestion I've been hearing from people that no one I know really knows the answer too

    Cheers

    Alan

there is deffo no cash alternative. If somebody cant play we will engage with them directly and make a decision based on the prevailing circumstances.

betting "to make the final table" but it only pays out for 6 players? That's pretty sneaky if the table will in fact be 9 or 10 handed.

they are miserable gits, each way should be at least 1/4 odds top 9 in an 800 runner+ event

no its not sneaky in any way, its all in black and white if you care to read it, you will see that the final table will contain 6 players. last year the final table was scheduled to be 6 players and this year it is the same. check the schedule of events, it says clearly that the final table is on Monday and that it will be 6 handed. The t&c's of the betting market state that the final table is 6 handed.

Last year 7 players returned on the Monday as due to tech issues or somthing on the Sunday night they could not reach 6 players. Due to this the market was settled to pay those who had bets on the top 7 as a gesture of good will.

I've just checked out the boardsie market in your post...(I'm the rank outsider) From what I can see a few of these runners are not confirmed as starters , so if say half of them pull out, will I be hit with a rule 4 ? I quite fancy a ton on myself at 40 to 1 ....I can easily outlast the sorry lot.....not one bracelet between them....(plenty of handbags though)

    WC ftw.

    thanks for the list.

Would ye not consider a 1/4 the odds for the outright betting - 1/5 is too skimpy, geez its even a 1/4 the odds on golf tournaments (e/w i mean)

BCB, as you've mentioned the T&C's can I ask simple question from the IO main event rules,

It states "To participate in the Irish Open all players must become members of the Merrion Casino Club. To join players must present a copy of either their passport or driving licence upon registration"

Can you explain how / where / when this takes place?

    Thankyou.

Noel I think ur using the term "young gun" a bit too liberally. Mick Stephens is 27 as far as I know while Marq looks about 40. What odds on Paddy Hicks while ur at it?
