Kingfisher Gym Waterford?

    Hey lads,
    Anyone seen the new Kingfisher gym in waterford yet? Just wondering if anyone has been in yet and seen what its like. I'm gonna go sometime next week, just wondering what anyone thought of it it anyones been there yet

    Apparently they have some of the EDIT: most fancy equipment in Europe (theres running machines with lcd screens on them to watch tv, and you can plug in ur USB key or Ipod into them to play music or watch videos from them)

    i doubt fancy equipment would make working out any easier or better, but im sure it might be a bit more novel lol

    the gym facilities are great, plenty of cardio machines (60 separate machines they say) and plenty of room. The weights section is fairly comprehensive too. But they seem to be having a few teething problems

    Examples:
    Sauna is not open yet
    Hydro pool was drained today for some additional tiling
    At busy times showers tend to be luke warm to cold
    No hangers for towels beside the showers
    Not enough benches in the changing rooms which is a problem at busy times
    The steam room isn't really hot enough
    They're not running any classes until February
    They can't print membership cards yet cos their machines are not working

    With that said, these things don't actually effect your workout experience but they'd be nice to have and I'm sure they'll sort it all in time

    about 4 out of twenty headphones work on the treadmills. The keep on saying that they will be fixed tomorrow. Very frustrating

    any more info on the weights section? do they have olympic bars? Squats racks? Are you alllowed Deadlift?

    2 x olympic bars and benches, no squat rack, 3 or 4 adjustable benches, 1 x smith machine.

    I don't imagine anyone would stop you from deadlifting
