    My Favorite Conversation Topics

    Politics, Music, Current Affairs

    My Least Favorite Conversation Topics

Children, Big Brother, celebrities, soap operas, clothes

Women’s Top Ten Date Picks - That part of the list is fairly ok. Walks, restaurants and comedy clubs are good choices.

Top Ten Restaurant Types for a Date - anything as long as it isnt a posh restaurant, where they give you 12" plates with about 2" of food.

And the flirting business - as long as you can have an intelligent conversation with them its good.

It's a little bit difficult to generalise what conversation topics girls like, or dont, and so on. We all have different personalities. Some people love talking about politics (like me), other people would hate it. It's a stupid list!

I could talk about any of those topics or go to any of those places as long as the person I am with is not dull, boring or stupid.

hmmm... i kinda wana make out my own list now... im pretty sure i dont talk about all that much though...

i think it depends very much on who im talking to, what i talk about. hopes and aspirations... well, obviously the whole moving in with my b/f the opposite side of the planet when we've not spent a huge amount of time together in person thing was a huge thing for me, but other than that, and now that that's over, there's not a whole lot of hopes and aspirations i would tend to discuss with anyone in general, bar one or two close mates.

hobbies and interests in general, i always find this to be one that would come up while you're getting to know someone, but after that, unless it's something on-going like a football team/the mighty boosh, there's really only so much to talk about with the same person.

music... haha, ok, i rarely shut up about it, i confess, even with the poor feckers im talking to who have no interest in it...

dreams and romance... emmm... no. maybe the romance bit with one friend of mine, but that's really about it.

friends, yeah, travel, sometimes, vacations... isn't that the same as travel?

movies, rarely, and entertainment, not really, but i do tend to quote a lot of boosh/withnail and i/nemo.

as for the least favourite conversation topics...

im fairly interested in irish politics, though not hugely knowledgable, i do like to listen to other people's views though, and to learn more in that way...

other dates? is this supposed to be stuff we dont like to talk about while on dates? weird. and then, it's hard to say, me and my fella have no real problems talking about exes and stuff, obvoiusly within limited amounts of info, but conversation can flow freely on the topic of other dates and, past relationships.

im more a fantasy fan than science fiction, but ive some friends into scifi, and do quite enjoy listening to them talking about books/ideas that they think i might like etc.

i find religion fascinating, though will not discuss it with my fella cos he's waay too stubborn about the topic.

celebrities, nah, i wouldnt talk about, i wouldnt be arsed with most things science either, wouldnt know jack about antiques, dont have money, but i do LOVE history... particularly irish history, which my poor fella does have to listne to me waffle on about rather frequently.

    Women’s Top Ten Date Picks

    1. Restaurant - ewwww, no, horrible idea.
    2. Taking a romantic walk - i could work with that :)
    3. Park - similar to last one.
    4. Coffee shop - good idea.
    5. Live music - awesome idea.
    6. Comedy Club - would be very good date.
    7. Zoo - oh wow, i so want to go to the zoo again!
    8. Bowling or Playing Pool - has potential to be fun. depends very much on the date involved.
    9. Amusement Park - same as above.
    10. Movies - i can't usually be arsed tbh.

Top Ten Restaurant Types for a Date

    1. Casual dinner - meh.
    2. Pub - probably not good.
    3. Retro bar with live music - sounds intriguing.
    4. French cuisine - ew
    5. Ethnic - ew
    6. Pizza place - ew
    7. Western - ew
    8. Salad bar - meh

I dont see shopping/sales in that list.

    Nor shoes either

it's almost as if most women actually had at least ten things they'd rather talk about before talking about shopping and shoes!

Well the zoo is really the only bit that interests me.

I'd also add wax museums... I've taken a lot of dates to the Dublin Wax Museum when it was open and it always seemed to get a good response. I adore wax museums... I always feel at peace there.

Such a great tragedy that the Dublin one closed down.
