Hi Wreck! You quit 4 weeks, 1 day, 11 hours, 9 minutes & 45 seconds ago. You have *not* smoked 471 cigs, saved EUR 177 and added 1.64 days to your life.

So only one more day in January and I'll be off them for a month. To be honest it has been surprisingly easy, the only difficult patch was last weekend when the girl i've been seeing broke it off:(. Wanted nothing more than to drink and smoke, but went to the gym instead.

I've been off the alcohol for January as well, so I think this weekend is may be a bit of a test too. I've been to the pub a couple of times and a club once during the month and didn't really feel tempted to smoke, but it could well be a different story after a few pints.

Hope everyone else is still going strong.

So another month almost over, just wondering how everyone else is doing.

I'm actually starting to believe that I will never smoke again! I think I only had cravings once over the last few weeks, and haven't even been tempted when out drinking (smoking ban FTW I guess).

Hope everyone else is managing to stay off them.

Well done Wreck, I went through the same test the last few weekends, drinking and not smoking, I managed to stand in the smoking area chating to people and not think of smoking. :) I developed a big interest in eating good food and exercise.

    Well guys,

Well done I'm off them a week and 2 days but I cheated with champix. Managed to go out last Saturday night and stay in the smoking area all night without be ing tempted.

Think I may actually suceed this time as all other times on the patches I was having atleast 1/2 a cig every 3 days on the sly.

Hope I'll be leaving the same message as you in a month's time!!

Hi Wreck! You quit 1 year, 4 days, 10 hours, 46 minutes & 52 seconds ago. You have *not* smoked 5,556 cigs, saved EUR 2,084 and added 2.74 weeks to your life.

Woot! Man it felt great on New Year's Day to be able say I hadn't smoked for a year, and to have a different resolution 2009. (As it turns out the new resolution is surprisingly difficult, but that's another story). How did everyone else do?

So I've been off them nearly 2 days and feel pretty bad. Today I got pretty bad cravings, and rummaged through the house and found a cigarette, but ended up breaking it.

I keep convincing myself that I don't want to quit, so close to just going and buying some now. It's quite depressing that the only way I can quit is to go to bed, and isolate myself. Pretty bleak outlook tbh

And absolutely everything anyone does is pissing me off
