its got to be chelsea at home for me . and after an 8 goal thriller draw.
the blues will not want any slip up.
at 4/9 its almost a banker.
they learned there lesson with villa. not clinical enough.
my dollars are going on them.
ohh and a double with birmingham chelsea -1. small wager.
    all fixtures here..

I reckon thats a safe one, Newcastle almost never win in London regardless of form.

Shockingly I think Ramos has sprinkled his fairy dust and I can see Spurs beating Reading at the moment.

Very tempted with Chelsea myself. A. Cole and Carvalho both got straight reds yesterday though, do their bans kick in immediately? Also, Lampard off injured. Should still have enough though.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,972 ✭✭✭✭mike65

Bridge for Cole, Ballack for Lampard, Makelele for Carvalho.

    Mike.

Makalele also out. Ear operation. Still going for Chelsea in a treble with Man Utd at West Ham, and Tranmere at home to Cheltenham.
Cheltenham have lost 8 of 10 away. Well beaten yesterday (albeit, by the leaders).
Tranmere decent at home. Only lost 3 of 11 there. Good win yesterday, against a high flying Carlisle in good form.
    About 5/2 with PP.

Everton are alright at home and could give Arsenal a good run for their money. Arsenal have drawn nearly half their away games. Another draw perhaps?

West Ham gave Chelsea a good game recently and beat United last time they met them. 9/2 a pretty big price for them i think.

I'm almost half tempted to go at 13/2 available for Reading to beat Spurs. ALMOST. Maybe 7/1 and i'll bite.

EDIT: West Ham are available at 11/2. even better :)

Pool seem to be able to put it up against the bigger teams so it could a big win for them..

After finally recovering my St. Stephens night hangover I can get back to the business of making some money. Some tricky games the weekend. The Hammers are a bogey team for United but United are scoring for fun so may take them easier than expected. City and Liverpool I think has all the hallmarks of a draw.

I think Chelsea and Utd for the win. Thats as far as I'm looking anyway.

another good bet is middlesborough to be beaten by porthmouth .

also man city droping points at home to blackburn
liverpool will want to put an end to citys chances of being a top 5 club pretty quick.
and yes pool are good at mid table clubs away...or should i say are lucky.?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,972 ✭✭✭✭mike65

    Citeh? Mid-table? Shocking.

    Mike.

    Man U - 8/15
    Rangers -4/7
    West brom - 2/5

    pays 3.37

i'll be lumping on this. if i was pushed for a few other bets it would be Arsenal. Man U were 2/5 against everton, and arsenal are 11/10 - and hurting from their last loss

With man city's strong home form, i wouldnt do a handicap bet against them

Villa have NEVER beaten wigan in the prem . . . but at a push id put them in too (am i right in saying that only Knight is the suspended player?) 11-8

like spurs at home too - 4/9

these all pay 20/1 - if im wrong someone correct me please!!

    Chelsea squad

Cech, Hilario, Belletti, Ferreira, Alex, Ben-Haim, J Cole, Essien, Sidwell, Kalou, Shevchenko, Mikel, Sinclair, Wright-Phillips, Pizarro, Ballack.

They have 3 players left who are likely score a goal and a shored up defence.
I think I might pass after all.

City will not be mid-table in May they'll finish in the Top 6, they will be buying in Jan (proberly Anelka).

    Mike.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 68 ✭✭norm

Still going to throw Chelsea in a treble. That squad, player for player is better than Newcastles (imo). I bet Big Sam would swap squads given the chance.
Chelseas mentality is far stronger than Newcastles at the mo, no matter who plays. I'd back a weakened team from any of Arsenal, Man Utd or Chelsea against most of the Prem.
Only danger for me is if Owen is involved. Has a habit of messing things up for me in the past!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,972 ✭✭✭✭mike65

Oh they should win but the odds are greatly reduced, I think Owen is a possibility for the bench.

birmingham win is a way safer bet , and at 10/11 great odds too. fulham are in a serious state at the moment . players missing all over the shop .

2 multiples for me this weekend, need a turn of luck as Harcibald really cost me:

    €20 on Chelsea,Totenham and Celtic to win => 2.49

€10 on Sunderland and Aston Villa to Win => 6.04

It's very late and I haven't decided on any bets for tomorrow yet because I've only really started looking, but I'm leaning towards 1 or more of the following.........

Man Utd -1 away to West Ham @ 7/5 with PP.
Chester away to Brentford @ 6/4 with Boyles.
Birmingham at home to Fulham @ 10/11 with PP.

And/or maybe a double on Chelsea (4/9) at home to Newcastle and Man United (8/15) with PP. Works out 11/10.

If the early games go well I'll be having a bet on Arsenal at 5/4 with Ladbrokes with a saver on the draw at 12/5 with Boyles. Unless I lose me shirt or the prices change too much in the meantime! Pays around 1.6 for the win + get your money back for the draw if you dutch it properly. I think. Which is decent value, even if Everton are in good form.

Arsenal are on a league run of D-L-W-W-D, both the wins were more luck than judgement, I can see a D being added to that.

chelsea the only top 4 side playing at home. and man u playing the hammers.
tricky game..teves may not perform as good as people think. or yet again ,may not even play.

i can see this weekend panning out for liverpools favour. esp when playing tomorrow.
guns go to merseyside ,you just never know what way today will go.
so i still say im sticking to a birmingham and chelsea double.
rest im going to leave alone.

I think it'll be a tight game and both sides will settle for a point. Leeds have gone a bit wobbly since Poyet left. If my Palace clean sheet works out, I'm putting a few quid on 1-0 or 1-1.

man u will take this very seriously . 4 points clear if they win.
and im sure they will show tevez off for the classy player he is , if he starts.
but the odds are not great at 4/9 for an away win.
and them -1 handicaps are tooooo dodgy.

Ok first bet today - an optimistic goals bet:

    1 Chelsea v Newcastle - Over/Under 2.5 goals (Backing Over 2.5 Goals @ 1.98)
    2 Sunderland v Bolton - Over/Under 2.5 goals (Backing Over 2.5 Goals @ 2.27)
    3 Wigan v Aston Villa - Over/Under 2.5 goals (Backing Over 2.5 Goals @ 2.09)
    4 Tottenham v Reading - Over/Under 2.5 goals (Backing Over 2.5 Goals @ 1.62)

    One quad and three trebles.

This bets below are reliant on Operation Houdini winning the 2:40 Limerick. I have €30 on at 7/2. If he doesn't win, and they rarely do!, I'll just halve the stakes because I'm fairly pushed for cash!

€40 on Man Utd (-1) to beat West Ham @ 7/5
€50 on Birmingham to beat Fulham @ 10/11
    €10 double

Obviously €100 down if neither win. Lose €4 if just the first one comes in, €4.50 if just the Birmingham bet comes in. Up about €137 if they both come in.

Avoiding the Chelsea game becaue I reckon they've too many out injured + suspended.
