Anyone here use his books and recipes?

I'm thinking of buying his Precision Nutrition ebook but am worried it will be full of American stuff like "liquid smoke" that just isn't available here.

Can't give any opinion on it. Is it realy $147?
    Just googled it.

    http://www.burnthefat.com/
This is excellent imo. About 7 ebooks and over 500 pages of reading.
    Terrible, terrible marketing page though!

Which reminds me, I've badly neglected my fitness journal
    That'll be updated this evening

What's "liquid smoke" out of interest?

I've got the pdf version of Gourmet Nutrition (i.e. just the cookbook, not the full package) and the ingredients are mainly standard foods. I haven't made the majority of stuff in it by any means but the recipes I have made have all been very easy to do.

Liquid smoke is an ingrediant the yanks like to use a lot for recipies to make them get that bbq flavour (i'm a bit of a foodie..), it doesnt seem to be available here, presumably because the weather here is rarely bbq friendly so people don't have the same affection for that.
I think you might be looking the printed version price?, its about 40$ for the ebook.

Longfield get them - the recepies and dietary advice is spectactular. The only foods I eat are from his Gourmet Nuritition book, and in line with the Pn program, whcih incidentally is the same program I use for all my PT clients, (in conjunction with the excellent grounding Tom Venuto gives in Burn the Fat, which I completely endorse).

For instance, my christams eve dinner was the delicious pepered steaks recipie in GN, searved with Balsmaic syrup and a side portion of squash mash. I eat like a king, have a great physique, and a wonderful level of health and energy - in no small part becasue of GN.

In fact, this Xmas, I treated myself to GN 2! Currently only available to GN1 owners). It's packed with even more mouthwatering recipies, like KFC esque crispy chicken tenders, a pesto made from cashew nuts, and pizza recipies...and if you haven't tasted the pecan salmon or the Greek Feta cheese burger recipies you just haven't lived.

Get it, throw out any other cookbook or nutrition idea's and enjoy a better quality of cooking, a better quality of food, a better quality of body and a better quality of health.

I second the cookbook, everything in it i've made has been great and simple to make. Not sure on PN its self but I'm sure its good straight forward advice. BUt seriously you can't go wrong with the cook book mmmmm

there is a new version coming out (supposed to be shipping on the 27th) Gourmet Nutrition V2.0 they called it... maybe check it out before getting the V1?
    http://www.gourmetnutrition.com/

according to a post on another forum; apparently V2.0 will only be available in printed version (no PDF), and that Precision Nutrition will continue to include the V1 of Gourmet Nutrition

i got PN when it came out and the update to it this past summer, and i'll order GN 2.0 but maybe to the US and have my mates post it from there, as the international shipping for GN 2.0 is a bit steep...
