Fresh or frozen?

    Whats the best?

I've seen tv shows that claim the fresh food looses vitamins rapidly but frozen preserves them - and if so what company freezes the freshest veggies?

I shop once a week (I really don't like shopping!) on Sunday's and stock up the fridge and freezer.
Should I stick with frozen veggies or will the fresh veggies still be better by Friday ?

Good quality frozen veg (Birds Eye etc.) will actually be of extremely high quality, and their claim that snap freezing traps the freshness is quite true. It prevents minerals and vitamins from leaching out of the veg.

"Fresh" veg will differ in quality depending on where they're grown (and therefore how far they have to travel to get to the supermarket shelves, losing nutrients along the way) and how in-season they are (out of season veg tend to be grown with the aid of a lot of fertilisers).

The vast majority of my veg are bought frozen, because if I buy fresh I don't use them in time and they wilt and go rotten!!
