    Get your nominations in.

This catagory is for the person or company who you think has contributed to an improvement in Irish Poker during the last year, or can be someone who you think has represented Irish Poker well on an international or domestic stage.

I'll leave it open until Monday 24th December sometime, (depends on what I'm doing that day TBH) then I'll post up the poll and let it do for a while so people can vote over christmas if they are around the interweb...)

As pretty and sound as she is, she has such a nasty habit of knocking me out of tournaments....I reckon Sam has dealt me out of tournaments more than any dealer this year and they are always decent buyin tournies :(

The latest being JPs opening night where you wait for 2 hours for a decent hand and when you get that QQ, someone else finds AK and the flop comes K high.....and least she says sorry with a smile and those puppy dog eyes..go on then, i forgive you again!!

    Hmmmmm...

Agree that it's a good tournament and profile is much bigger now but still... hmmmmmmmmmmmm....

I'd like to 2nd Stephen McLean. The student poker championship might have been a very rough test run but he did a great job with the IPO.

yeh agree with this, Tom as help in setting up Boards, been involved in the early days of tournament poker, involved in GJP and live coverage of events all over the world. Also his honesty and bluntest in dealing with people is an example to everyone. Also is Q&A was great.

He's done a lot for poker in the last 5 years and I think its only fair he gets some credit.

And before the mods give out, I know this is only a nomination thread.

I'd have no problem seconding eithers BCB's nomination of PPPoker for their committment to the Irish Open or indeed DeV for his contribution to Irish poker over the years.

Lol mac, technically i got nominated, so you can save the modesty. I think if i had been helping people with software there would be a lot of broken PCs knocking around.

lol at you being so childish. Honesty

Alex and John from the se seconded

    lol honesty

why the lol ? Ive never known him to be any other way.

I find it really immature. Everyone on this forum knows that Roundtower has some problem with Dev. We are in no need to be continually reminded by Roundtower.

How about in future, when anything is mentioned about Dev, be it good or bad Roundtower just shuts his mouth and leaves it be. That way no aggravation is caused to either party.

Unless of course, Roundtower would be aggravated by not saying something? But thats just sad.

    On Topic though, yeah boards.ie.

I nominate Paddy Power Poker for the Irish Open 2007 and what they have done with the event in the past number of years.
On that same token, I'm going to nominate Big Slick Poker for cramming so many well run events into their 2007 schedule. Without the sheer dedication of these guys, Irish ppker wouldn't be half of what it is today!

GJP introduced the new ranking system and put up 5k in prizes which has added some spice to the tournament scene since its intro. They also gave away loads of GJP badges

I think roundy was being ironic. After all surely 'lol honestly' would have been his most predictable statement so......

maybe i credit him with a sense of humour above his level..:)

if so Devs little  covers it. (Although dev is irritatingly nice.:))

If you want poker humour look no further, roundy, sheit, how did i not pick up on that earlier, lmfao @ Roundy, makes him sound like some cute cuddly bear. Can you buy one of them for Xmas :D

Edit: Or maybe it's more reminding of a horror movie, how's about Roundy 'Son of Chuckie' :D
