I'm not on about the Mariah Carey or The Pogues or Slade etc etc, Xmas Songs.

Songs like "Little Donkey" or "Away in a Manger". Which one is your favourite?

I don't know of any Xmas Carols, but there are many Christmas Carols and songs. There are some very nice ones too.

"X" is an ancient way of representing the Cross that Christ was crucified on. "X" is a perfectly cromulent substitution for the word "Christ".

Before you get all smart arsey, you might want to look into these things.

I love this version of The Little Drummer Boy by DAvid Bowie and Bing Crosbie - once you get past the cheesy chat at the beginning.

    "Ding dong merrily on high"
Its always interesting to see how many people make it to the last part of the Glooooooooorrrr, oooorrrrrr, oooorrrrrrr, oooooorrrrrr....ia, hosanna in excelsius" bit before turning blue and collapsing.

That Blue Christmas one has always held a certain charm, something about hippies and jazz.

I always though X was the greek letter chi, thus indicating christ. Anyhow you are right in that it's not some text speak manifestation.

Back on topic I like Silent Night best.

    Away in a Rehab Centre

    Away in a centre,
    No coke for His nose
    The little Druggy Jimmy
    Missed all His sweet hoes

    The lights in the ceiling
    Burned holes in his head
    The little Druggie Jimmy
    Strung out on the bed

+1 Was going to say exactly that. It's an ad for a poxy sat nav thing too. The words are replaced with all the places this extremely busy woman has to go cos it's Christmas. Ruined my favourite Christmas song!
