As the title says, anyone a member of Jackie Skelly in Ballsbridge?

    Is it nice?
    Busy?
    Any complaints?

    Thanks

Jackie skellys gyms are well known for bad hygeine and probably have the worst name out of all irish gyms, also offering personal training when you are signing up and paying expensive rates for a locked in contract! this means you get seen by an instructer 1 time a month and get a program just like in any other gym! i've been in swords, ashbourne and parkwest and there all dumps, highly recommended!!

I enquired when it opened. They had no squat rack or cage, which makes it inappropriate for weight training. Also, thanks to an uneven surface, if you look at the sign on the building from one side it looks like it says "swimming poo".

That'd clinch it for me, last thing I want when taking a nice relaxing dip is to see some arrogant poo doing the backstroke alongside me.

I was a member from when it originally opened until October this year. I found it fine, but I was visiting before 9am and only using the cardio equipment & pool. They require two months paid notice before leaving the gym, in writing, which was a bit of a pain. You also have a 12 month minimum contract, so don't sign up unless you plan on staying there.

Hilarious! I nearly fell off my chair reading that! I'm in JS Ballsbridge, if you use it its pretty good but if you don't use it the contracts hard to get out of, although its 10 months now so plus your two months cancellation you have 12 yippee!

i'm a member there for three months now. only really use the cardio stuff at the moment. Never really busy when i 'm there as i go very much off peak (6am-7am).

    No real complaints...yet
