Why all the fuss over what to give somebody in a Kris Kindle! In our workplace, we have a policy on not spending more than e15. There's certain perfumes and aftershaves in Boots which have huge discounts, so I pick a perfume/aftershave worth about e25 for just e15! And my KK thinks I've given them a generous present! (I hope they don't shop in Boots!)

Well I'm a man, so if I went into Boots I'd just get confused by the selection. There needs to be a big arrow pointing to the mens section or at the very least a line from the door to the mens section and then to the till. :D

That's the name. The ritual is called Kris Kindle.

Just to settle this Kris Kringle/Kindle I shall point you to the font of all knowledge Wikipedia.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kris_Kringle

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kris_kindle

Basically both are acceptable. Both are a mispronuncianation or corruption of the German gift bringer Christkind

A man in work got me in the Kris Kindle and he got me a book he knows I wouldn't read and has now asked me if he can borrow it cos he heard it was good. The cheek! So basically he bought himself a book.
