Creatine in Katy French cocaine.

Had a big article in one of the rags yesterday saying creatine was found in the cocaine Katy French had. They did not specfically say it killed her, but was strongly inferring it to be a "lethal additive".

Had a quote from sporst minister Mc Daid. Saying he was against creatine and that it should be included on the olympic committee of something. That part was quite funny and almost seemed like a piss take, listing some big long commitee name to make it sound official, and then saying they "should" make it illegal. It only served to prove the point they they HAVE NOT deemed it necessary to ban it!

Still, not too long ago a guy got pissed and took a fraction of mild dose of mushrooms and commited suicide and they were banned overnight. I wouldnt be surprised if this happened with creatine.

Jon & Mickk might have a sudden increase in sales to ignorant scumbags wanting to snort creatine now.

Creatine wow! If you knew some of the stuff people I vaguely know have claimed to cut their cocaine with you'd be amazed. Baby laxatives springs to mind as one of the worse one, alos have heard of people using building plaster ground up. If its white and a powder you can guarantee its been used to cut cocaine.

    Gotta agree with this,

Creatine is one of the more safer things I've seen coke cut with!

Yeah, there were a load of other substances listed about what has been found. I love the cheap scare tactics they use.

Industrial solvent used to degrease tractor engines= smirnoff

Horse tranquilsers= ketamine, a rectreational dose is 1/10th the amount given to treat young children! and yes it is also used to treat horses and other animals but they never mention it is used for kids, and the dosage.

Rat poision= strychnine, also was used by humans as a stimulants, but POISON looks good in big letters, and RATS catches peoples eye

They also listed talc, which is found in a lot of medicines you have already! Many of the fillers/cutting agents are used in commercial tablets.

Building plaster etc might just be a common filler used, like calcium carbonate. And relatively benign.

Glucose is the simplest one to use.

Wait til the government hear that you can get wasted on two bottles of robitussin max strength! True story - it's a disassociative anaesthetic with similar effects to ketamine.

I find it hard to believe this was the result of coke being cut with something dodgy. When you consider most cocaine purchased in this country actually only consists of around 1/3 cocaine and the rest is filler, it's more likely someone made a mistake and didn't cut a batch, and people have been taking a massive amount of coke without really realising it until it is too late.

The thing with coke is that it can kill you at any time. If you read about the physiological effects of it, it's quite scary how easily a blood vessel in the brain or heart can burst with lethal consequences.

I once heard of this guy who took loads of creatine, and went mad, thought he was an orange and tried to peel himself! True story!

If you don't want to read ignorance, don't read the red-tops.

The version I heard of that was a guy smuggling a load of ecstacy into witness/oxygen and he taped them to his back and was running down the road and the sweat on his back allowed them all to be absorbed into his bloodstream and now he thinks he's a glass of orange/an orange and is worried of people drinking him/peeling him.

My ma thinks protein shakes make people nuts and worries anytime she sees me drink one. Friends think Creatine makes you psycho, dunno where people get this bull from???

Most common cutting/bulking agents for coke would be glucose,pro-plus tablets and creatine. With th exception of creatine these will take the bite out of the coke, giving the user the impression its been cut up,so "duping agents" are added to give you the impression it hasnt been stepped on.Since cocaine numbs the tongue of the user and produces a giddiness, three local anesthetics are added; Lidocaine, Procaine, Xylocaine (anesthetics used in dental profession). Most cocaine in this country would be full of amixture of this sfhit and contain very little actual coke.

actually, on this note, prob post this in another thread, but im thinking of putting together a documentary on the reality of sports supplementation, taking a far more accurate view than current media does.

I currently have the equipment and crew to do this professionally, what I need to do is find some worthwhile candidates for interview. Any ideas?

I thought it always was? Or do you mean even mixtures are prescription only, like solpadeine and neurfoen extra. i.e. they have paracetomol & codeine so you are in effect limited due to paracetomol being toxic. There is a way to remove it but too much hassle to bother. I know any medicine with codeine was OTC.

Most common cutting/bulking agents for coke would be glucose,pro-plus tablets and creatine.
The creatine was news to me, I suppose it was cheap enough to buy in bulk, and very white. Some of these idiots were getting glucose in a chemist, and I think some got caught on camera too which was used in court to further show involvement. Not knowing it is way cheaper in tescos!

I did meet an old mate about a year ago, and another mate must have told him I was training and taking creatine. This guy used to try all sorts, and said "I hear you are taking creatine, I love it, take **** loads, great buzz". Maybe it does give some buzz, I never took it to excess, nor do I want to! I did take 20g at the start but dunno how much this lad was talking about.

Creatine is far less likely to bulk and clump keeping the whole "smooth powder" effect going.

The bloke was talking rubbish, creatine doesnt give you a buzz and he wouldnt have known how much to take anyway. The main reasons they'd put it in charlie is because its bitter and its quite heavy.

The whole buzz think started going around when "the kids" started taking No-Xplode before hitting the town apparently.

They thought it was the creatine giving them a buzz because they are morons.

Still at a loss as to why these people are allowed out on their own to be honest.

That's bollox creatine would have killed her. It doesn't give you a buzz either as that guy said. It's just puts more water into you're muscles and stops them from losing energy and helps repair muscles after excercise. I don't see how it could be involved whatsoever.

Maybe it could have been the cocaine?? Maybe??

    Or the amount of cocaine...

Yeah the amount was probably the most important. The guys in waterford were supposedly spooning the stuff into their mouth cos it was free and there was so much of it. That's supposedly why they died rather than anything in it (saying supposedly cos I didn't hear it from the coroner).

The strength could also be important. If people in Ireland took the same quantity of powder, say, in Columbia as they would normally take here in a night they'd probably die as well. Maybe the stuff she got that night was exceptionally strong or maybe as above she took too much.

When people try to say that something mixed with it is the problem it's normally just hope or ignorance cos people are still under the illusion cos coke is so widespread that it's not fatal.

Also most people here will mix it with alcohol because doing it on its own doesnt appeal to the irish mindset,it can make you more cranky and irritable than usual so its better to mix it with booze for a more exctasy-like buzz. This makes it many times more dangerous due to some sort of toxic reaction which i dont undertsand.

Nonsense, alcohol is legal, how could it be harmful ;)

It is like people saying they are addicted to cannabis, and neglecting to mention that they mix it with tobacco!, ehh, hello, if you mix a pleasurable drug with the most addictive substance know to medical science then you might just become a little fond of it. But sure tobacco is legal too, so I wont even bother mentioning it, sure its not even a drug, I saw mammy and a garda smoke it, must be grand.

I was in 2 minds whether to start it there actually, think everybody here who is interested has read/commented. Wouldnt bother me if it was moved now. It wasnt mentioned over there. Just pointing out the crazy demonisation by the media again.
