yarr... I've printed and framed my favourite (one of mine) for a christmas present. Don't want to post it till after it's unwrapped :)

EDIT: read my favourite one of mine, not my favourite which happens to be one of mine!! I'm not totally wrapped up in myself!

I am not sure that I am able to pick out THE picture of the year for me - there were some very interesting ones. But there are various things I like about this one.

This is one of my favorite pictures from the year. Was volunteering in Argentina in an orphanage run by an Irish priest (Fr Liam Hayes from Limerick) (pictured here) and every Tuesday mass was said in the orphanage for the children and locals.Fr Liam had asked me to take some pictures during the ceremony and this is one that was taken just as the sun was setting

my favourite shot was of course a fox :)

btw the night vision monocle (Lidl) work great, i can see about 100 meters into the pitch dark over the last few nights, great for spotting animals at night, their eye's really shine brightly, easy to spot them even if well out of focus ;)

It's definitely this one, no contest. It sums up a lot of how I feel about myself and where I'm going:

Make sense of that, if you will!

Mine has to be this one. It's the only one I've taken this year where I feel I've really caught the atmosphere of the forest.

    482001679_bf3c8d550d.jpg

Hmmm....I'll try and interpret that shot Fenster, not to do with you but in a general context:The hill represents the uphill struggle through life. The man is already halfway there and the barren trees represent death which we will all arrive at eventually...god I really am morbid today:D

Some great images here and great to see some images that were taken earliers in the year again. This is one of my faves, nothing smashing about it, I just like it. From a few weeks ago...

Hard to choose. Maybe this one. Proving to myself that the "golden hour" is the biggest myth in landscape photography today.

PaulW where bouts was that picture taken??Fantastic shot

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,381 ✭✭✭✭Paulw

Taken in Portree Harbour on the Isle of Skye in Scotland. Just happened to notice it looking out the B&B window one morning. We were supposed to go out on a boat trip that morning, but the sea was just too rough and the wind was gale force. None of which can be seen in the photo.

    Some great stuff posted here.

This was the year I really got into my photography. As a result I have a lot of faves, all of which I've grouped together in my faves in flickr.

Choosing one is really hard, but I'm choosing this one as I really like it and it's gotten no comments of faves or nothing on flickr.

Probably this one, it was taken a week or 2 after I bought my camera and I was fooling about with the settings and it's one of the last photo's I got before the battery died!

My favourite from the day, I probably took 400 photos in total!
