seriously what is the deal here people...

i go a few days without shaving and a nice black beard grows...
i wait a few more days and all of a sudden its ginger? overnight it goes red!!!

what is this???

does it mean...*shudders* im one of them?

should i just resign to a life of pity and scorn by strangers? where one time friends avoid me and are humuliated by my company...

or should i make sure to shave every day to hide my secret shame??

yeh im irish... not a ginger in family do... dont know if my dad suffers this... he's as clean shaven as a gay guys arse..(thought the description would make it a funnier image...)

(also just for record i said it cos a guys arse i find just funny... gay people please take no offence...i know some of you like ti all natural to...;))

You're father is wise, he probably had an episode similar to yours in his youth but has lived through it and took my advice never to speak of it again too, a wise wise man - so there is hope for you yet!

I get a tiny bit of ginger in my beard when it grows into anything past stubble. Even though it's only a color, I actually felt a pang of horror when I first discovered it. I also have a white patch, that grows that way after I got a deep cut on my face. So a variety of colors in my facial hair.

Same here. Theres absolutely no ginger in the family at all but I get some after a few days of stubble, as well as some white.

It happens all men...seriously, ALL men. Every boy I've ever known, whether they have blonde, brown or black hair....they all get ginger beards when it grows a certain length...

I have a theory though...I reckon it's a survival mechanism; Women find facial hair gross, so it turns ginger after a while so men will shave it out of sheer embarrassment and they can attract the ladies again, spread the seed etc.

Luckily, my beard is mainly black, but when you look closely you notice that there are many ginger hairs concealed within the depths
I pull the bastards out whenever I find them!

There are also a lot of whites in there.

I'm afraid you, like many of us here, are eternally cursed with the ginge beard.

I've a few little bits of grey in my hair, which is dark brown, but it hasn't changed much in years so I can't even count on my beard going grey any time soon.
