    WRONG! It's widely accepted that using 'and' (and 'but') at the start of a sentence is perfectly OK, except when you are writing a more formal type of text, such as an academic essay. (Or even in the Leaving Cert.)

    As someone who is training to be an English teacher, I can say that the bad grammar and spelling on Boards very rarely annoys me. BUT...your formatting is annoying!
