Stars to Wii Points at last!

Works out at 4 Stars per Wii point, according to Eurogamer. I tried the site there and it seems to have gone down already.

I think I've about 5000 Stars (or was it 8000...it's been a while) so it'll get me a few points at least...when I get a Wii that is

Good to see Nintendo didn't wait until June or whenever it was they put the year expiry time on Star points.

yeah the site seemed to go wonky earlier but i just bought a game rack lol nice to see theres more material items than wallpapers in the stars catalouge

Finally, I only have about 4,500 stars but that's enough to get me Paper Mario more or less for free so I'm happy or would I prefer to try and get it for my N64....

Although the game rack would be kind of cool too....

Bit of a rip off considering it used to be 5000 stars were roughly equal to 50 euro when games came up. Now 5000 stars is only 1250 wii points or €12.50.

i cant log in :mad: it says there is no email address registeered with the site when I say I forgot my password but that's horse crap. I used to use it all the time and I should have a couple of thousand points there too.

I logged into the main site fine, but I can't get into the points for stars one at all. It looks like stars will start expiring now too, and as usual all the decent stuff is sold out of the catalogue.

I just got a nice Club Nintendo Tshirt and a Yoshi Key ring, figured, to buy then would cost more than the 20euro or so it cost me in points.

I keep getting 200 points for my DS games, when I should be getting 250.

Hmm I dug out a few old nintendo games and the points advertised on the cards were less than I got, Mario kart double dash was meant to be 400, only got 250, and all the ds games said 250 on the card, but they were all 200 :rolleyes:

250 for AC:WW, 200 for Pokemon Diamond :rolleyes:
I'm guessing Wii is 750 points + 250 points for Wii Play.

Damn, only have 3800 points, where's that 2nd DS Lite card?

(oh, and I can't register Japanese games. For shame )

I registered all the cards I had and I have around 4500, it would probably be five times that if I had kept the cards from over the years.

also it seems they done away with the 5 points when you log in once a day

There are only 100 point cards left so if you want 1000 points you have to buy ten of them - worked that out well.

you have a piece of paper like the one in the game case with PIN on it...it comes with the concole in the box.:)

Tis pants, had thousands of stars built up from my N64 days, but for some reason it seems my account was suspended. Haven't been able to get into it for years and I'm loathe to set up a new one cos of all the stars I had And they've never answered a single email about it either!

Well, I guess I should set up another account now and register all my gamecube/Wii/DS stuff now

I registered all my games and consoles and came to nearly 5000 stars, and now it wont let my link the console in the shop channel, it tells me to check if my password and email address are correct(which they are).

Very annoying, anyone else have a similar problem?

it was working for me, but strangely enough you can only buy codes for 300 points each, whats the point.

That happened me too when i first registered on the site,sorted itself out in a few hours. Could be longer now lately though because the website is under a lot of pressure by the looks of things.

What a joke, only 100 wii points cards left when I finally managed to log in and got bored buying them after my third one, would take half an hour to use all my stars and then longer to register them. Well done idiots at nintendo europe/

The site's completely borked, won't load at all.

It says "Please note that we currently allow a maximum of two Wii Points Cards to be purchased per day by any individual. If you reached the daily limit, please come back tomorrow." What the hell is the point of that? Really stupid if you ask me.

Such rubbish! I haven't logged into the Stars Catalogue for ages because I have no interest in Nintendogs wallpaper for my mobile phone. I just tried to log in to the site there to see if I could get Wii points and it told me that my login isn't valid. I checked the email address it was set up with (an old address I haven't checked in well over a year) and there is an email from Nintendo saying "If you do not reply to this email by July 15 2007 we will deactivate your account and you will lose all of your points". So they've deactivated my account and gotten ridden of the thousands of points I had! Maybe if they'd bothered putting some decent content on the site before now I might have been bothered to log in. So much for rewarding loyal customers :mad:

Perhaps you made a typing mistake, or your Club Nintendo account is not yet linked to your Wii Shop Channel account. Do you want to try again?

What. I spend ages rooting out my star yokes, filling out the same survey about 10 times, can't link my wii account cos my telly's broken, fix my telly, can't convert my stars to wii points cos I get the same error message as the poster above me, and when I finally do get to the fecking wiipointscard shop, there's. None. Left.

Please tell me there'll be more soon.

Still no points available after a week and no-one at Nintendo thought it would be a good idea to post a message on the website letting people know there is a problem - I mean one paragraph, maybe in bold type thats all I'm asking for.
