had some trouble placing an order with them a few days ago - entered all address and credit card details details then it brought me onto google checkout and I had to reenter everything and after all that it said that they do not deliver to Ireland. Must have caught them on a bad day or something.

Don't use the Google Checkout, just use the normal one...

Just sent through an order for 4x 4Gb Sandisk ExIII cards and it came to 142Euro shipped.

    Thanks again helios

Sandisk Extreme III 8Gb and a 4Gb Stick for €91 shipped, can't argue with that!

Thanks for the bump Sebzy :D I totally missed this first time around!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,620 ✭✭✭Roen

And a further bump to let ppl know that they do a s**t load of LowePro bags too.

**EDIT** And Vosonic Portable storage devices too, it's a veritable treasure trove.

Just to check, is the 20% off the price listed on this page, where some of them already have 20% or 30% knocked off?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,445 ✭✭✭bovril

yes it's an extra 20% off (although I did order a flash USB stick yokie and there was no discount and it was sandisk). You can add items to your cart and continue to checkout and apply the discount without adding personal and payment details so you can see what you're saving.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,819 ✭✭✭rymus

cheers for the bump.. had forgotten all about it. Got 4 x 4gb extreme 3's and a nice waterproof card case.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,048 ✭✭✭RoryW

I just got an email to say that the sandisk 20% discount offer extended until midnight tonight (St Stephens Day)

    quote MERRYMM at checkout

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 128 ✭✭Mr Ed

    Cheers man for that!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,204 ✭✭✭kensutz

It wouldn't give me the 20% off last night but today I got it.

Has anyone any experience of these ? http://www.mymemory.co.uk/memory/Lowepro/Slingshot//200AW/Camera/Bag

I was looking to invest in a rucksack but would wondering would this design be handier. No need to leave bag down on the ground to access camera.

    Any thoughts?

That bag is the bees knees alright. I along with a lot of the other folk on here have one. It is comfortable to wear and has handy access to your gear when you need to get at it. It's well padded and has a handy (if not a tad embarassing with your non camera friends) rain cover too. I'd highly recommend it.
I used to have a shoulder bag but that used to cause me back pain. Gunns on camden street in Dublin usually have them in stock and they'll let you try one out with your gear in it. I bought mine from them.

I tried getting a 300 AW but they were out of stock :( I might stop by again though as they do seem to have good prices even without the discount codes.

just got a mail from mymemory saying that due to international credit card fraud they require a utility bill or credit card bill faxed/e-mailed to them before they can process my order. Such hastle. Anyone else get stung for this?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,272 ✭✭✭✭Paulw

I had the same email bovril. I emailed them a photo of a utility bill with my address.

As for the Lowepro Slingshot 300AW, I have this bag and use it most of the time. It's very sturdy and can carry a good amount of stuff. The slingshot design is very handy for putting things in to and getting things out of the bag. I highly recommend it.

Good idea I was thinking I'd have to wait to go back to work to get access to a scanner. I'll do the same. Thanks.

Your paypal account is already verified I'd imagine then, most places will be hap[py with this as to have a verified account you'd have to have access to your credit card statements

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,204 ✭✭✭kensutz

    Yes they do

    not to me anyway.

I paid using my credit card and there wasn't any problem with it - no need to verify anything.
