Damage limitation:How do you make a bad session... less bad?!

Basically went to gym tonight. Unusually for my gym there were loads of idiots there standing, chatting in the free weight section. I found it difficult to focus and combined with a bad nights sleep and perhaps skipping lunch today I had a pretty crap session. I couldnt increase my weights and/or reps and i dont feel like is a case that I hit a plateau.

I do a 3 day split and was doing shoulders today.

When this happens are you better off to do the same amount of weights/reps/sets as you did in your last session (1 week ago as its a three day split).

Or is it better to drop the weight by a kilo or two and try and increase the reps/sets?

    Hope that makes sense.

Get p!ssed and go for a PR on something. Anything.

Reps/sets/weight... it doesn't really matter. just try and make SOMETHING better than the last session.

change something around next session, the order, number of reps the exercise whatever. Go back to it then the week after. Everyone has a few bad sessions every now and then.
