Does any body know how to set up David Tudors Rainforest piece?

Can some one walk through how I would go about setting it up.

So I need some electromagnetic transducers to vibrate a certain object firstly yea?

So I run down to Maplins tomorrow and get some of those.

How do I power them?

The do I just stick them to my object with saw masking tape?

Once Ive that done.
Do I use a contact mike to pick up the vibrating sounds of the object?
I found a nice article how to make a contact mic Here.

Then do I just feed the signal of the contact microphones into a mixer? Say even into a channel in Ableton live?

Also Tudor mentions something about looping them together or something as in instead of sending the signal straight to a loud speaker he sends it through another object or something?
