Poker Awards 2007: Nominations for Boards Offline Player of the Year

Get your nominations in. Again the nominees must have a boards nick so post up their boards nick for them to be nominated.

Depending on numbers nominated I might switch it later to need a second for a nomination to count, but for now just nominate away.

Nominations close on Tuesday, 4th December 2007 at 13:00.

    And on boards he is???

    Emmm, anyone know this guy??

From now on, to save me the hassle, anyone who doesn't include the Boards nick as well as a nominees Real name will not be nominated. Boards nick is necessary, Real name is not necessary but might be a nice addition.

Feel free to ask what their nick is if you don't know, but I'm not going searching around matching people to boards accounts. So the 2 above are not nominated because I don't know who Michael Muldoon is on boards nor do I know who won the IPO or who he is on boards.

DKing boards nickname, Colm King real name. Fortunately I didn't have to look for long for an IPO thread to find that out!

Micke Stevens - mickste - although did not get a big result so to speak yet, he is certainly the player that I have been most impressed with (although a slight tilting issue that maybe needs to be looked at),

Seems to always know where he is in a hand, especially with me sigh (as do quite alot of other players).

    AKQJ10 -
at the start of the year he was getting his ass handed to him in 5 euro games in dit, by the end of the year he is regularly beating 2-5 cash games... is there a "most improved" award?? if not, then AKQJ10 gets this nomination.

NFR would do too, so would halfbaked...
BCB has had a good run since april from what i can tell...
Smurph is always there or there abouts...

    oh i dont know...

    my nominee is akqj10 though

I cant see past Nicnicnic. He's had a superb year, final tabling nearly every major buy-in tourney he entered and had a fantastic Irish Open. One of the real nice guys in the game, he gets my number 1.

sorry ste... consider my nomination for mark revoked, assuming he is now as a result of this thread rubbish at poker...

my new nomination is for...... hmmmmm..... BigCityBanker... 10k in the open, another nice result at the SE 1k game. Won Vera's birthday game. and seems to be performing consistently in the games he plays in, both tourny and cash! must be doing something right, or sleeping with the chief.

I dont know any live players from here (seeing as I've only ever played live in Dublin one time), but reading boards and blogs it would seem to be either nicnic or norwich fan rob imo.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,656 ✭✭✭dannydiamond

If we,re talking about tournies nicky power(nicnicnic) and it isn't even remotely close. As for cash i've no idea.I know you must be sick of this from the online thread ste but this should probably be "live tournament player of the year" as the cashgames are so spread out geographically that we all tend to play with the same group of players weekin, weekout which wouldn't equate to tournaments.ya get me?

Padraig Parkinson posts here I think...... He'd have to be player of the year every year. A close second would have to be Tom Hanlon, he certainly posted once

Nice list, but doesn't count as a nomination. Just so you know.

    A) 1 Nomination per person
    2) Boards name is needed.

Can people please refrain from posting up random lists of people. There's an Overall Player of the Year category and you can nominate whoever you want for that...

Good man Tony, appreciate it. Although at the monent there's no need for secondings, (only if we get more than 20 nominations) but it's good to keep those already seconded listed incase I need to change it later.

    Flushdraw for Mod!!!!

Oh right...thats what the seconded thing was for. It still might stop posters nominating people already on the list anyway.

Mod hmmmmmmm i'm happy where i am thanks :p
