She's My Girlfriend

Whats your name of affection for your other half? Do you wake up in the morning and say "Hey babe, do you want a cup of tea?" or maybe "Sugar tits, be a darling and make me a cuppa" or maybe it's your very own creation like "Snugglecat come over here and papa will have you purring, miaow!"

I know some of you out there will have created a MacGuyver like image of me in your minds from reading my posts, but unfortunately my term of affection for the missus isn't so exotic. I likes to keep things simple. Therefore, herself = babe.

    Et toi?

    I've nicked all my girlfriends.

Current is "Babby". Honestly we call each other babby. It's being going on for years. It's established habit now.

    Previous girlfriends include

"Gherkin"- Her name was geraldine and she was a veggie.
    "Squidge"- Best hugger ever!

I can't believe people in really call their girlfriends babe, knew a guy when I was 18 who did that but we just assumed he was a bit of a tool.

She calls me John. Yet she never actually realises that it isn't my name. Oh well, I guess alzheimer's does that to a person.

    Him to Me: Baby
    Me to Him: Pet

Embarassingly enough he also calls me a meerkat a lot (because apparently I'm like one), hence the avatar!

    +1

i imagine Ruu is the bitch in that relationship tbh :p

me and my ladyfriend have no terms of endearment though. am i the only one in a relationship that uses our names to speak to each other? i don't think i've ever been in a relationship that involved such things as "babe" etc.

    I call mine "Shirley".
I'm single, so I'm referring to my hand, but it pleases me anyway and never talks back.

Ok OP I don't fully understand this Dublin humor but I'd say I slept with your son and he won't be happy about you sharing a bed with grandmother. It's along the lines of yore ma but I don't know if I used it right so YOur ma/grandma.

Thats how women subliminally - subconsciously brainwash men into becomming slaves - it's a long process but we can all see the results

Ooh my lil' chickle, little chick chick.

It evolved from calling her clucking chicken cuz she used to bok bok at me the whole time talking ****e.

And id say quuuit yur quuuingin, quit bokin at me.

Then I would mock her and go bok bok bok at her.

I had no time for the drivel of women.

Oh little chickle see what your sam sam says!

A simple "Lover" ... works for us.

Unless he is in trouble. Then he gets his full name. Not the usual three letter version of it.

    Eh i call him Batman!
I get called .... actually no it's embarassing and not in a gushy lovey dovey way!

We call each other babe/baby in general but there's lots of others. I like to call him 'love' just to make him uncomfortable because that's what his Mum calls him. But all my family call me baby so we're even on the uncomfortableness.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 966 ✭✭✭GerryRyan

If I called her any on the poll names I'd get a straight kick to teh ghoulies ;)

Former gf's - bimble (don't ask) and squidge (kinda weird SetantaL had the same)

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 32,865 ✭✭✭✭MagicMarker

    ''You''...

As in.. Hey, you! Where's me dinner?!

I kid i kid... ''Beautiful'', as in.. Hello Beautiful, Goodmorning Beautiful and so on and so forth.

I'd never call any girl babe!! I called my ex ''baby'' but it doesn't feel right progressing that onto a new girlfriend:) Plus it strikes me as a bit immature using that word now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 890 ✭✭✭l3LoWnA

Names different exes had for me were:-

    Chicken (or Chicken Licken)
    Gorgeous
    Babe
    Sexy1
    Bumpkin
    Please!

I used to call one of my exes "Granite Balls"

[edit - almost forgot, back when I was a teenager, about 18 I'd say, I was seeing a guy about 12 years older than me (at least) and he used to call me "little girl" and I used to call him "big daddy" Yep, sounds sick but it was just a bit of fun really :o]

I had a mate who's da used to call his bord, 'cunthooks'. All one word. Appearantly thats important.

Honest to god. Cunthooks. While she was in the room. That man's my hero.

I call him different names all the time, never really stick with one.

He calls me "woman" and has been known to refer to me as "sex features" though that's mainly to piss me off.
