help! Dual monitor display.

Yo.

I want to set up dual (split) displays running one one machine as cheaply and easily as i can. I have two DELL pc's both are optiplex (different models) one is a junker so i was wonder is there anyway i can pull some stuff out of it to do this?

Current cared (Intel Express) doesn't have two video ports (or whatever you call em!?)

If not... any idea of a [very] cheap second graphics card i can buy to achieve this?

You may need a little DVI - VGA convertor that will set you back another 5 quid


To be honest I don't think you'll be able to take much from the old dell apart from maybe the harddrive and memory but it all depends on the age.

Edit: Just saw its an intel express ... that means onboard graphics I guess.
Not knowing what your machine is it may not be able to take a full sized graphics card.

Nvidea have a graphics card that allow for dual/multiview displays. I've been using it for 3 years now and once you get use to 2 monitors you'll never go back to using 1!
