Multi screen boxes

Bit of a tricky one here, has anyone any advice on how to set up a box to run several monitors at once? What I'm thinking about is a single large screen and 3 21" monitors all attached to the same box.

I'd like to be able to show different images on the three screens OR the same image spread over all three OR the same image simultaneously on all three. The larger screen would need to be able to independently show images or whatever, and the best case scenario would be that I could control what was on any given screen from a single mouse or keyboard.

So for example I could set the three screens to show the same movie at the same time while doing something else on the larger screen, and change it around seamlessly.

    Any ideas?

Edit: You're probably also looking at HDMI I/O for the big screen.
