omg im so tilted. support are such fcuking retards.

Support: can you get me the hand id?
Me: no. the hand doesnt exist in cash table history because the server didnt get to update it to the most recent hands.
Support: Ok check your tournament history
Me: Are you joking? I was playing a cash game. Why would it be in tournament history? Have I not made it clear that I've checked the history and it doesn't exist?
Support: in that case you can locate the hand ID from the cash game history
Me: Omfg. Is this some kind of elaborate wind up to put me on even more ridiculous tilt? Then i requoted what Id already said.

    Now silence. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

What a load of bollox. GJP has been lagging badly the last 2 days and now it just fcked me out. I'm in the middle of 6 tournaments and was involved in big pots on 3 of them and i got disconnected. Thats a joke :mad::mad::mad:

  • Business & Finance Moderators, Entertainment Moderators Posts: 32,387 Mod ✭✭✭✭DeVore

We have spent all day on the phone to Bluesq about this. We don't have our own servers so its not just us. The system has been laggy and unacceptible for the past few days but we are assured by iPoker that there are more resources coming online very shortly. Quite a number of people are screaming at them about this so I expect someone's ass is getting kicked.

I don't want to preempt anything but GJP has been committed to trying to improve things for Irish players and we are more angry about this then we have let on. I cant really discuss it but we are going to solve this problem one way or another.

Until then and until things calm a little we will continue to assist our players as best we can but this isnt localised to GJP, we're just suffering like the rest.

But its not good enough and we'll continue to complain on your behalf and sort out specific complaints.

Site is still a joke...dont know how many times its lagged...also its only dealing the flop now and a big 10 second pause before the dogging turn and river is dealt...thats the most annoying thing

I've been playing for the last 3 1/2 hours without any probs (except for my terrible play), did download an update when I first logged in, maybe this has something to do with it.

Are you sure it's an ipoker problem and not an internet routing thingy?

I'm in the north and GJP, VC, Chili and NoIQ have all been fine the last few days.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,854 ✭✭✭zuutroy

Chili lagged me to time-out with AA and top set on two of my tables yesterday :(

I'm in Portugal and have had the same problems as people on boards so yip it is an iPoker problem.

I can't get in this morning again even though I can view tables, it's not allowing me to login once more

    same

I couldnt either for abt 5 minutes today. Its fustrating for multi tablers.

    I have a few questions.

Is this problem a blue square problem or does it affect the whole network as i could log into noiq poker which is on the same network.

Is wireless internet part of this problem. If so is there any solution.

Are i poker going to fix this problem or do they even know what is causing it.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,506 ✭✭✭Shortstack

Today's issue was completely different to yesterday. It only affected cages with login servers in Guernsey, there was an internet routing problem there which has been sorted now. Other sites on different networks will have been affected as well.

I don't know why anyone bothers with ipoker. Colourful outdraws and beats the like you COULD NOT invent.
Also, earlier on a tourney I was playing in was cancelled for 'maintenance'. When I asked for a refund I was fobbed off with stories of the 'we'll email them' and 'they'll email us' and 'we'll email you' variety.

The whole setup is exactly that.. a setup.
    Don't do it.

    That old chestnut .

Perhaps you don't remember the times you outdraw people. iPoker is the same as any other online site in that regard.

Yeah well, maybe I should've left that bit out! The point I was making was about the apparent apathy I encountered whilst trying to obtain a refund.

Isn't 'that old chestnut' in itself a trifle clichéd?

If a tournie is cancelled then the refund is usually automatic (albeit not straight away). If it is your GJP acc then I will check it out if you email me the details.

Another cliche for yeah, how about that ;)

    Lol. Very well put.

Nah, nothing of the sort. It's just that whenever I see a line of text with anything remotely resembling a gripe about the reliability of online poker to produce authentically realistic scenarios, it's instantly pounded into submission by phrases such as 'ah that old chestnut' and 'we've been here before haven't we'. Of course, this topic is always going to be fertile ground for the schizos and psychos and doom-mongers amongst us, however some of us are capable of reasoned, objective analysis and discussion.

I am not a conspiracy theorist.

    eh. :p

Anyway what i'm basically getting at, IPoker isn't rigged. With some absolute :p exceptions I can say pretty confiently that no major site is rigged. It jsut seems that way sometimes when you get sucked out on for what seems like the umpteenth time in a row :(, part of the gamew though, it happens the other way around too, I've had some sick draw outs go my way too.

90% of the chips heads-up in a sit'n'go. I go in ahead four or five times in a row to lose that one.
The cancelled tourney was the icing on the cake. Got a little hot under the collar when no refund was forthcoming, so closed my account. Looking forward to saving some money! :)

This as you say Dev is simply unacceptable.

Im not having a go at GJP here but at ipoker, fact is they are a bunch of ignorant ****w!ts, since the tribeca merge their rake figures have invevitably exploded, maybe upgrade the servers and possibly consider changing ISP?

Nah, sure **** it they are laughing all the way to the bank.

There is absolutely no excuse that could possibly exist in the entire universe to justify these issues. They are ****tards who most definitely cannot spell the word poker. (they are casino developers who don't have an iota about poker)

Unfortunately for Mike and Tom all they can do is complain, this must be just as frustrating for them as for any customer as this is clearly affecting business.
I don't actually play on ipoker anymore in all honesty i believe that they are possibly some of the most retarded developers within the online poker industry.

For the love of god Ian can please change your location?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,286 ✭✭✭✭mdwexford

Me neither, Jim is challenging Sideshow for most unexpected verbose poker player of the year. ;)

I switched to Full Tilt from Ipoker last week, im a lot happier since.
At least Mike is on here to try and help GJP customers, for anyone playing on any other Ipoker sites it must be a nightmare. They need to spend some money on sorting things out because its a shambles at the moment.

I agree. This has happened to me a lot, and it's very suspicious. The odds on this happening are, like, half a million to one, or something crazy. So for it to happen to both of us means that there are obviously shenanigans of some sort going on.

Although I wear glasses myself and could take umbrage at Gondorf's statement, I wouldn't blame him if it looks like what it seems that he has been provoked by stalking, seen you have taken pot shots at him in other threads too. Not much gets past us here in the Poker forum ;)
