Hi everyone i was reading up on loosing weight and got some great tips of the stickies however i still dont know if i am eating the right foods at the right times in the day ( before work out after work ) so if u could take a look below and see what advice you can give me on this thanks.

this is what i have everyday and i work out 3 nites a week for an hour each time.

Breakfast: Porridge with full fat milk and muesli yogurt
11:15 weight watchers yogurt with some fresh fruit
lunch 2 chicken fillets with olive oil and salad - with Bananna
Between 2:00pm and 7:00 i snack on some fruit and nuts

(should i have something bigger to eat before gym other than nuts and fruit???)

7:30 ill head to the gym for my hour work out - come home and have some more chicken fillets maybe 2 with vedge.

Oh yeh is Tea okay to drink the odd cup like - and i drink a fair bit of water trough out the day, any advice welcome thanks guys.

Diet wise not too bad I think, work out your calorie needs as advised in the stickies and then eat a deficit if you want to lose weight. Yes, I think you should eat a more substantial meal 2-3 hours before your workout. Yoghurt and fruit contain sugar, you might be getting a bit much? Try keeping a food diary on a site like fitday which will help you understand the breakdown of the foods you are eating.

Regarding your workout, it is not about the length of time spent in the gym but the intensity of the workout. I would suggest trying high intensity interval training plus a weights program to help lose body fat. There is lots of info in other threads in this forum on this topic, do a search

Hope this helps you - good luck
