    folks bit of advice needed.i wanna buy some new equipment(exercise bike and rower) for my new gaff.can anyone recommend any good sites or ones they have dealt wit before.i have done some looking about already(google) but have always found people very helpful here ,good advice without the bull**** ya get in shops.

    Not sure about the shops, I would be trying to cash in on the weak dollar, this does not automatically mean it must be from the US. Though postage might be prohibitive for stuff like that.

    But I would be more concerned about your goals and if that is the best equipment to get. If you are looking for general fat loss, then a set of weights would be more economical and give great results, and take up far less room.

    I would recommend getting a real bike and getting functional exercise in if you do not already, e.g. walk/cycle to work/shops/pub. Clean the house, do gardening etc.

    I would definitely not get both at once if you are not fully sure you will use them, can become expensive clothes horses.

    If you're getting a rowing machine, don't go anywhere else but Concept 2. You'll be woefully disappointed.

    Occasionally, these are sold on ebay (through Concept 2) after being refurbished. Concept 2's depreciate very little on the second hand market though it must be said.

    I'd echo rub's sentiments about the economy of getting machines versus some weights and a pull up bar.

    yeah the equipment is for general weight loss.i will use both machines because in the old house i was sharing we had both and i used them.they werent mine so wanna invest in a bike asap before i go back to old habits and propably a rower aswel after xmas.if i was to buy a set of weights wot wud people recommend never really used them before,but was thinking of adding some weights in my routine
