Ok guys I plan to head back to the gym within the next week or two but im not sure of the best workout plan that I should do.
My main aim is to loose weight so what should my workout consist of?
Should I do 3 full body workouts a week and cardio on the days not in the gym or do split workouts and do cardio on the same days as lifting weights?

There is so much information out there and maybe its only me but some articles I come across are contradictory to ones which ive already read so I dont know what I should be doing. So any one has any advice on how to simplify my workout to achieve my goals?

    Thanks.

Pick one, do it. That is all you really need to do.

Personally I would lean towards spilt training but I don't think it really matters in the long run.

This isn't something that I have personally done, but considering the source, I think it's a very safe bet.

Cheers Hanley.......seems fairly decent...but just one more quick question...will this workout help me achieve my goals? It just seems a little "bare" compared to some of the workouts out there.
    Thanks in advance.

Of course it will. Lots of big lifts = high kcal demand . Plus the added muscle'll speed your metabolism up, which will further increase your weight loss. (if you want a real reason)

You can do cardio and the likes on off days as well.

More isn't always better when it comes to exercise selection.

I have been doin a bit with a PT and he reckins i should be doing some sort of weights everything im in the gym.

You will burn more fat doing weights then cardio FACT. So work your major muscle groups (chest, back and legs) 2 times per week, make sure you get enough rest and recovery. Most people when they wana lose the gut they go mad doing sit ups and the likes, no use if the fat is covering it up!

    Your traing should defo include:

Chest (try incline / decline bench flies)
    Shoulders
    Back
    Legs

Dont be afraid to mix sets (ie) an example of a set could be

15 reps of prison lunge (with dumbell) straight into shoulder press x 4-5 sets.
    30 sec rest

Really gets the heart beat going - so your doin bit of cardio as well as lifting.

Be very strict on recovery between sets make it 30-40 secs and stick 2 it.

    Hope it helps ;)
