Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a dilemma here.

Well, I studied first science in NUI Galway this year, but unfortunately failed maths and chem (they're pretty much compulsary, I just want to get into Zoology)

I need to get into second year, I can drop these subjects when I do, but I can't unless I pass my repeat exams.

So my point is that I'm in urgent need of a tutor in Maths and Chemistry for the summer, I'd greatly appreciate if anyone could get me in contact with me if they knew anyone who can give grinds in those subjects and who lives in Dublin, Celbridge, Maynooth, Lucan, Leixlip or any towns around them.

Ok, I'll stick in my request!

I'm in urgent need of IRISH grinds.

I'm resitting the LC next year doing higher level.

I'm doing this on my own, 10 years after leaving secondary school.

I'm hoping someone might help me achieve that.

Looking for someone in the Monaghan or surrounding counties area.

    Thanks,
    BB

    Part-time Teachers Required: Grinds

    Greetings!

I will be looking for teachers of most Leaving Certificate subjects to work part-time for my project, starting at the end of September. I manage a project that provides a full year of grinds to young people who have been out of the mainstream school system for more than one year and have the desire to sit Leaving Cert exams. Grinds are done on a one to one basis in most cases. We pay the standard VEC rate for an unqualified part-time teacher of 37.40 euro ph. Any teacher who is interested in working for us must have an open minded and non-judgemental approach to young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. Teachers must also be willing to deliver their subject to some of our young people in its most basic format as we have students who are out of education for quite some time and will be aiming to attain a 40% pass mark in exams. Therefore teching notes, novel summaries, point by point simple instruction is often vital for some of our students.

If you think you would be interested in what we have to offer please reply. It may be a few weeks before I get in touch with you as we plan to start classes at the end of September.

Please include in ur reply the subject(s) you teach, ur qualifications and experience, and a rough idea of how many hours pw you would be willing to work. Full CV would be excellent.

    Please reply only to: brenmarsh@gmail.com

    Thank you.

    Brendan

I hope this post is not off-topic

The son of a friend of mine is attending a new games design course in Carlow.
He passed all second year exams except for advanced differential calculus which I think is part of his applied maths course. He is doing a repeat of the calculus exam in 4/5 weeks and he need some help.

If anyone can help please leave a suggestion or pmail me. If someone can give tuition for a few weeks it would be great (Money is no object - just name your price)

    MATHS or PHYSICS GRINDS
I recently qualified from a masters in mathematical physics.

I have years of experience giving grinds, and voluntary teaching, particularly in maths. I'm very aware of problems students face with the sometimes poor level of maths teaching in schools, and so my grinds would be as much about building confidence and belief as the actual teaching of maths. I try to instill an understanding and enjoyment of the subject, I'm patient, and able to tutor at every level and ability. I'm based in rathmines but can travel to your location, and teach either groups or individuals, my rates are negotiable.
    Thanks,
    Michael

I fail to see how putting up an email address (and a non-personal one at that) is a threat to my security - how is it different from PM?

I am not getting into the technical details or the merits of emails vs. PMs. We have rules, the rules are there for a reason. If you don't like it, we can invoke some of those rules to have your access to this forum removed.
