How long should you spend in a steam room or sauna? I normally go into the steam room after a gym workout but before a swim, should i wait til after the swin?

Personally I’ll go at the end of a training session for ten-minute sauna and then under a cold shower. I find this helps wind down after a hard gym session and aids recovery.

One point to watch out - for a long stint in a sauna can bring your blood pressure way down so going straight into a swim after it may not be suitable for everyone.

Was just going to say that - I sometimes feel kind of lightheaded after being in the steamroom, usually head for a cold shower afterward - would recommend making it the ladt thing you do, ie - after your swim...
