You could possibly stick this thread in Politics, but as I'm mostly looking backward in time, I think History is more apt. Looking at the current problems in Pakistan, and the advances being made in India, you'd have to ask yourself: Where did it all go so wrong for Pakistan? I think Jinnah was mostly right to split…

Sorry about joining this thread this late, but IMHO, the cold war probably is the single most important reason why Pakistan is how it is now. I will try to support that with some more points later today...
