Talk in litres, since the price of petrol varies from place to place and time to time saying 25 euros is of little use.

I just got 423 miles for €100, almost all long-haul driving.

At current prices(1.12) 25 euros worth of diesel would give me about 1300 furlongs in town / short distance driving (262 km or 162 miles)

about 55L gets me 600 or so km.. car has 65L fuel tank, never let it run too low, i always fill it to the brim whem filling, and havent yet put less than €55 into it at a time.. i fill it every week, at between €55-60 euros (depending on how low it goes) those figures are based on current prices 113.9 in a main esso..

its 2.0 L auto.. with ample poke!

compare this with my previous car 2.0 diesel which gave 820km for approx €48 and a full tank lasted me nearly 2 weeks!

Passat TDI 90 BHP, 160K miles. It used to do 620-640 miles on a full tank, now it does about 550. Still happy enough.
    Cheers..

Filled my new Focus TDCi (new to me anyway) up to the brim yesterday from almost empty, for the first time since I bought it. €50 worth of diesel at 110.9c a litre, computer tells me that I will do 950km before needing a refill. So €25 should get me around 475km which is close to 300 miles by my calculations.

Will wait and see though how accurate the obc is.

    As seen in this post-
    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=53852105&postcount=65

...€25/22l in the top one will get a little under 100 miles (160Km),
in or around 50 miles (80Km) in the bottom one,
and I've no idea what the middle one is doing, it gets a fill of diseasil every couple of months.
I do have a 4 litre V8 and auto box with its name on it though, so I'll soon have it sucking down the old dinosaur juice in harmony with the other two

Feck it, I've planted a lot of trees, the planet owes me. :D
