This is a group that is deserving to be merited. For most only know them for 2 or 3 English songs however I have all the english and Russian albums, know the songs off by heart and am excited for the new CD coming out soon.

They are truly one of the greatest, most liberating and influental bands or today.

Raz Dva.......mama papa prosti, ya soshla s uma :)

Please t.A.T.u. fans leave your kind words.

    Dobry Pozhalovat'

Is this a troll? If not you're a sad sad individual. They aren't really lesbians you know.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 186 ✭✭trevorku

Moderator the poster said I was 'sad', isn't this against forum rules and classed as insulting another member? I had an infraction for the same thing :)

P.S. Why am I sad for liking music which makes me happy? You are an example of someone whom has not heard all of their albums because if you would then you would have a different view.

And yes obviously I knew they were not lesbians, nobody would forcefeed their sexuality as they did if they were really in love. Everyone knew they weren't lesbians and even if they were it doesn't matter.

I didn't like them for what they claimed to be, I liked them for the music they make and the lyrics of their music.

The inability to take a slagging without running crying to a mod.

Ah but the thing is I did listen to the album with 'All The Things You've Said' on it because a friend of me stupidly purchased it. Needless to say it was sh1te and hence my opinion on them.
    trevorku wrote: »

And I don't like them for their music so you gonna go sending in another report due to an opinion that doesn't agree with yours?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 186 ✭✭trevorku

The thing is I don't have to run to a Mod, its their job to review it in anyways. :)
And you listening to the first album that was 5 years ago or something, they have like 4 albums under their belt with number 5 on the way :)

If you have nothing positive to say then be gone with you, I posted the thread to find other people who like the music, it wasn't a thread to slate the music.

You had your opinion and its fine.

    Regards.

So threads should only be about positive opinions? You wouldn't be promoting tatu propoganda would you? If I were you I'd just be happy you got a reply.

I figure someone should step in and offer another oppinion.
I think they are grand if you like electro pop/dance type music. I do not but they have some catchy tunes and there are people out there i cringe and turn off if they come on the radio. Amy Winehouse and Oasis for example. I tatu came on i would leave them on :D

Xavi - maybe you had a headache from the negative energy which presently surrounds your aura. I know a clinic in D.15 which can help with that no worries.

Saruman, Thanks for your excellent comment on the finest bank to come out of Russia :) Greeting to you :D

I think Oasis are the worst abomination to ever hit the music scene. They cant sing, they don't practice hygiene and they're coke heads. My idea of a nightmare is attending an Oasis concert with the encore repeating over and over again 20 million times... The horror

So you don't have time for artists who write and perform their own music but love manufactured pop crap that was pieced together on a computer? Some people are just strange.

Any band that reaches success through a gimmick deserves no respect, regardless of whatever they may do afterwards.

    They say
    They don't trust
    You, me, we, us
    So we'll fall
    If we must
    Cause it's you, me
    And it's all about
    It's all about

It's all about us (all about us)
    It's all about
All about us (all about us)
    There's a thing that they can't touch
    'Cause ya know (ah ah)
It's all about us (all about us)
    It's all about
    All about us
    all about us
We'll run away if we must
    'Cause ya know
It's all about us (It's all about us)
It's all about love (It's all about us)
In you I can trust (It's all about us)
    It's all about us

Thats the first song I picked.

    I complicated our lives
By falling in love with him
    I complicated our lives
Now I'm losing my only friend
I don't know why, I had to try
Living my life on the other side
    Now I'm so confused
I don't know what to do

He loves me, He loves me not
She loves me, She loves me not
He loves me, He loves me not
    She loves me...
    I started blurring the lines
    Because I didn't care
    I started crossing the line
    Cause you were never there
    No where to turn,
    No one to help,
It's almost like I don't even know myself
    Now I have to choose
I don't know what to do
He loves me, He loves me not
She loves me, She loves me not
He loves me, He loves me not
She loves me, she loves me

And thats the second. Woeful stuff.

I actually dont like those 2 songs you just mentioned : I like this one

    в с я м о я л ю б о в ь...

In fairness, All The Things She Said was a genuinely good pop song when all's said and done.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 186 ✭✭trevorku

Maybe you could seek an online translator, there is no english version of the song and unless you understand Russian you cannot understand the greatness that is t.A.T.u

Why would anyone bother posting this on an English language forum? It is one of the most pointless things I've seen here! Weird, I think.

Also, I wouldn't listen to Tatu over Oasis, because I think they're both awful, for different reasons.

Well then why don't you trod off to a forum that understands Russian, otherwise posting Russian lyrics about a Russian band that only Russian-speaking people can understand is pretty darn pointless, don't you think?

All The Things She Said is a fantastic song. Anything else I've heard by them I don't like.
Oasis haven't done anything good since 1995 - in fact they've consistently sucked balls.

trevorku, surely to god you knew the sort of responses your were likely to get on the boards regarding a couple of teenage pop tarts who's infamy is based primarily on the pretence that they are in love with each other, and consequently you could have come up with something better than the rather petulant responses which you flung in the faces of anyone who disagreed with you.:confused::confused:

t.a.T.u. are very dire indeed, but All the things she said, as previously mentioned, is a great little pop number.

Ah "All the things she said" is catchy enough but I wouldn't go out of my way to listen to them...Chances are if they came on a music channel I would flick around and come back if nothing better was on.

Also, if their Russian songs are their best, then they aren't going to have much of a following here.....

Yeah.. All The Things She Said was pretty good... and I don't normally like pop music... I have heard some of their other stuff, but couldn't tell you what it was like at all, so probably fairly forgettable stuff.

I love how All the Things She Said was used in the finale of the TV series Birds of Prey though...

Hmm I guess I can't argue if you don't like the band, but why respond with such negativity, not very t.A.T.u like I must say. Ok so the songs are in Russian, I can understand them anyway, let me see if I can get some of the english lyrics,, tah-dah.

BTW, you dont need to understand a language to fall in love with the music, that commend was just silly. And obv they do have a following in Ireland or else they would sell albums or merchandise !!!

    In English:

    That does not suffice
    That does not suffice you
That you have nestled on me
    If on the Moon
    Would be slightly warmer

    That does not suffice you
That you have stuck to a wall
    If behind a window
    Would be slightly more dark
You do not learn, how my name is
I shall not tell to you
    That does not suffice
    Something clings
I shall not tell to you
    It is not necessary...
    That transforms you
    Does not transform me
    In a small room
    Becomes even closer
    That freezes in you
    Will quickly thaw in me
    If you could
    Easier to remain here
You do not learn, how my name is
I shall not tell to you
    What not

Sounds like an interogation by a Russian border guard to me! I'm sure it's better in the original language of course. Maybe. I'm sure many people thought Tatu were long gone and working in their local Aldi to be honest. Fair play if they are still making a living (probably a fortune) out of whatever they do.
