I thought it was brill. About half way through I stopped to squeal "It's good again!!". Great back story line, great charachter development. Explaination for why Six was so badly treated.

    Cant wait for more.

Should make it interesting but had my suspicions already, just confirms it really, but it could be the exact opposite of what i'm thinkin, if are lookin at it from a cylon view :p

I thought it was pretty good...bit choppy though.

All the flashbacks were a tad disorientating, and the storyline didn't flow properly kinda like it should have been 3 episodes not 1 film...but it was still enjoyable. I disliked them adding the old cylons, i thought we've moved past the old series and this seemed like a fanservice to the fans of the original, sort of pointless filler tbh.

    Also...regarding the 5th cylon
When kendra was tuning the radio you hear the exact same static like noise that the 4 cylons aboard galactica heard when they began hearing All Along the Watchtower...

I hadn't been in contact with my cousins for ages ;)

Very good episode. I'm still puzzled about 1 thing though.
Cain said at the dinner with her officers that she would not really go gung-ho and risk lives and resources but in fact that was the very first thing she did. Why?

I found that bit very interesting too. Gets you thinking about whether there'll be a happy ending or if the Cylons will ultimately win out.

    OMG, you're all Cylons!

I thought the same thing too with the radio static, for a second I thought we'd here All Along the Watchtower. Don't know if was that though or just noise.

I thought it was brilliant overall, some great special effects and good solid story. It was a little discontinuous that there was no mention of these very important events in the series though. That made this stand out as being very afterthought style. If you get over that (which I did very quickly) it was great.

How much of a bitch was Kane though? I previously felt a bit sorry for her when Six killed her but not now. Good to see why there was so much hatred for Six and the skin job Cylons on the Pegasus though with her connection to Kane. I had forgotten at first that they had a Six and she had been part of the crew.

Yeah, thats a good point. She did infultrate and do huge damage.

Its interesting the difference in leadership a man offers to that which a woman offers. She feels the need to assert her place as in charge and capable, whereas he was all about the survival etc.

thinking about the movie, going into it we knew allot of things, we knew there would be an attack, we knew Cain was going to become a cut throut bitch, we knew what would happen to her first officer, we knew a gina ect.

Knowing what was going to happen made the scenes all the more powerfull when they happened, for a movie where i was able to say "yes ive been dying for this scene" several times through the movie so even though i knew what was going to happen seing it was soemthing else, made some scenes all the more powerfull.

Thought it was excellent. The revelation about Starbuck adds a nice bit of suspense to the next series. Though the wait till April might just kill that off...

Cain and Six being from the Isle of Lesbos really explained Cain's lust for carpet, i mean blind vengece at all costs against the Cylons. Unlike Adama, this time it was personal.

Oh and it was great to hear "By your command" once again :D

    Roll on april...*sigh*

I don't think it was. Aside from them being different actors, I reckon Adama would have recognised them when he encountered them years later.

It's a pity they didn't use the opportunity to provide more exposition on the origins of the 12 cylon models. An actual shot of Six or one of the other cylons in human form would have been well cool.

By the way, just how stupid was that Six model to casually stroll onto the Pegasus when there was a spy version of herself on board? :)

Thought the movie was very average overall.
Far too cliched ,illogical and predictable especially with the military manoeuvres.
It was the same old tactics and battle scenes rehashed.
Some interesting scenes indeed but I just didnt enjoy it overall.

Started off shakey and the lines were so cliche I was cringing within about 10 seconds. But it really turned into something special.

Though I do hate one thing in particular, and that is the re-using of the exact same sets over and over without even the slightest deviance - for example, the scene where they board the Cylon ship to retrieve the prisoners, the one Adama was on 41 years previous - the sets are literally, identical, with the exact same corridors shown. Would it kill them to show a little flair, maybe show a different corridor, or them actually entering the docking bay, etc? Sometimes it just steals the credibility away that they're on an actual ship, and it's not like it would take major effort.

The whole theme of the show was cool, loved the old Cylons - 'By your Command' was awesome! And the part where the Cylons attack them aboard the ship....though it lost some of the tin can magic it still looked great to see them up there in full CGI. Would love to see more of the Cylon war too. Part where Adama boards the ship in the Cylon war was very reminiscent of the Strogg processing plant for humans in Quake II =- very creepy, excellently done.

Overall, a quality episode. Loved it.

emm it was the same place, the ship where young adama was escaped at the end of the war and that was it. Same ship same hybrid same god, still allive and the ship still looks the same because from the 7 having little knowledge of their god or the 5 we know they have not had much or any contact with it/him/god

The whole attack on the Cylon baseship at the end was preposterous.
Jump Pegasus in and let it get bombarded by Cylon fighters for what seemed like an hour .
The whole ambush /decoy routine has been used too often, but the Cylons seem to fall for it every time.
As for the main character in the show ,she was basically an annoying clone of Starbuck.
    All testosterone ,no brain.
That gung ho angle has also been used far too often .
I just thought the movie was predictable and poorly thought out.
I had high hopes for it but it was a big disappointment .

It's the same place - a full size ship - yet both times we see the one exact same tiny corridor, and the one tiny room, and the one same arm suspended in the tank, etc. It's all so claustrophobic its hard to seriously convince yourself they're onboard a giant ship, it feels more like a tiny bunker that only has one room and one corridor!

SPOILERS BELOW DONT KNOW HOW TO USE TAGS!!!

Thought it was fantastic mainly for intraducing a third faction to the bsg universe.
The old cylons looked abit crap but im sure the TOS fans loved it.
The scenes with what I assume is the cylon god were great and would be intresting if the skinjobs find out what pegasus did.

Raises alot of questions though if the thing on the ship was the cylon god and
not just a botched hybrid who only had control over a couple of old centurions,
dose it have any relation to head six and head baltar.

The kara thrace line was also fantastic and should add some interesting aspects to kara's character in season 4.

I thought it was great. Filled in a lot of the storylines we had heard about but never seen, with a lot of new stuff as well.

I really liked how they addressed the evolution of the Cylons into hybrids. It was really well done a creepy!
The revelation about Starbuck was very interesting. Can't wait to see how that plays out. Also when it flashed back to Adama on the hybrid ship,I was pretty sure it was Leoben and Six locked in the room. It sounded like Leoben but I couldn't make out if it was him. Then there was the blonde woman, you don't see her face but you assume it is her. So we assume that the 12 models were based on humans that Adama encountered 40 years ago. Which was pretty cool. He didn't see enough of them to recognise them but it explains how he guessed Leoben was a Cylon in the very first episode (the mini-series)

The credits say "child in cage","woman in cage". I wasn't talking about the people in cages. I was talking about the people behind the door that Adama was trying to open. On second viewing the guy doesn't look like Leoben, but the woman does not look like a child and looks like 6. The guy also said their ship's name was the D'anna! So could have been D'Anna. You don' get a proper look at her.

lol, you're nitpicking over the description they get in the credits... do you think there was a seperate cut 'cage scene'? Also, one of them is described as 'Male Captive', and the actor isn't Callum Keith Rennie.

Also, he said the Diana, not D'Anna.

Adama has a vision or something when he has his hand in the tub thingy,he sees people in cages. I assumed that is who they were talking about in the cages. The blonde does not look like a child even though you only see her briefly,it just looks like she is laying on the ground. And Diana/ D'Anna sounds almost exactly the same.

Watched it yesterday - very good stuff. Bleak but it filled in some interesting moments and the
    Starbuck revelation
should feed nicely into S4. The
Cylon God was quite spooky, with his prophesies as was the genesis of the hybrids. I agree that the D'ana and Diana thing are not a coincidence. Reminds me of the Wheel of Time series when people come back with slightly altered versions of their name - "all this has happened before" fiting in with that.
    .

After a lacklustre S3 (bar the start), this really did the job of psyching me up for the final season.

The only moments that took me out of it a little (unintentional or not) was Starbuck's A-Team moment (especially given the A-Team/BSG link) and calling one of the marines Hudson, making me think of 'Aliens'.

So then given what we saw the Pegasus crew were capable of, I now wish 'Voyager' had gone down that route. Imagine it:

Janeway: There's coffee in that quadrant and in that ship, I want it.
Chakotay: But we can't just take it from them.
Janeway: Give me your phaser Chakotay...
.. you can guess where it'd go. She'd have got home a lot quicker, especially if Chakotay had got his Maquis friend Ro in charge.
