    Anyone have one of these?
    They seem fairly handy.
But how exactly do you fit them to a doorway etc without bringing the house down with you.

This site sells the one that I use. It's the same one that was bought by a bunch of people here in a group buy. Unfortunately I spotted the thread too late :( Anyway, the site itself explains how the bar works. I was very wary using it for the first few times. I live in quite an old flat and the doorways aren't in the best of shape but they've survived so far! There is an upper limit on the weight but unless you're huge it shouldn't be a problem.

Mickk oh here was also selling some, i think these are the ones on his site. http://www.irish-lifting.com/product_info_equipment.php?cPath=1_8&products_id=270

If you are unsure about whether they are suitable or not, I reckon your best bet would be to drop mickk a pm about it!

    OK thanks lads.
    Might check those out.
I presume also these things are adjustable for different width and size of doorways etc are they?

Hmm, good question and for the one that I linked to anyway, it's not adjustable. The upper arms extend out and that's that. It fits the three doors that I tried it on perfectly though so I would assume that given a standard size door it would be wide enough and once there's not some bizarre ornamentation on the top of the door it should be okay from that angle too.
