A to Z Recommendations

    Idea stolen from Classical forum!
    sticky if successful? :p
    So it works like this:
I'll start with a song by a band/artist beginning with 'A' (last name if solo artist)
Next person gives a 'B' recommendation, and so on, and after 'Z' we go back to 'A' again.

I'll start with an admittedly obvious one, but in my opinion it's one of the best songs of all time so whateva:

Arcade Fire - Neighborhood #1 (Tunnels)

Berkeley - Donegal band, two cracking albums ('In Moments' and 'Hopes, Prayers and Bubblegum') and brilliant live.

Stand Out tracks for me - 'No More Shall We Talk', 'In Moments', 'Follow Through', 'With A Nervous Eye' and 'Here At Last'.

Cadence Weapon. Breaking Kayfabe is the album. It's hip hop and it's one of the albums of the year.

    If it's one song:

Anything by her. Ys is epic. Some youtube linkage: Monkey and Bear

*may be cheating slightly since artists are usually alphabetised according to their last name!

Low. One of my favouritist bands in the English speaking world. Their albums Trust and Things We Lost in the Fire are essential to everyone with working ears. Here's the video for Canada:

Apologies for being the one to start the messing, particularly as it seems to be so contagious. Since forever and a day I always have to think about which comes first - O or P.:o:confused:
And well spotted Lordgoat, R is after Q but might I also remind Bren that 808 State would be filed before A and not under S. Having said that, Pacific 707 is an absolute classic.

Revelino-Happiness is Mine. Absolutely adored this song when I was a kid. Was amazed whe I found out the band were Irish as well. Didn't think an Irish band could sound like that! It was just so effortlessly cool.
