You can make one using a hunting vest and some small stones or bags of sand. Saw it somewhere online.

I made a very simple one with an old sweatshirt. Cut 2 holes in it down where your "love handles" would be. Now turn it up and put your arms through those holes. Now you have a pouch front & back that you can slot 10kg plates into.

What is your intended use for the vest? other things might be usable instead.

I imagine a lifejacket could be altered and filled with gravel or sand instead of boyant foam.

Hey rubadub......thanks for the tips................I want to use it for jogging and circuits.

Lifeguard vest sounds like a good idea.......spending over 100 spots on it is a bit out of my price league at the moment.....there's a few other bits I'd like to get to

I used to go walking a bit, and carried a 10kg plate in a back pack the odd time. I never went jogging though, I read a few sites warning against it due to possible knee damage, that even put me off the weighted walking.

I dont know what any of the experienced trainers here think about weighted jogging.
