Terms & Conditions - Crunch Fitness?

I’m having an issue with Crunch regarding my membership and was wondering if anyone would be familiar with their terms & conditions? I initially signed a 10-month contract which should have expired last June but they keep on charging my account (direct debit). The thing is that I do not live in Ireland anymore BUT I didn’t inform them about the move because I was foolish enough to think that once the contract was up my membership would not continue without my agreement. I did mention that I would be leaving the country after 10 months when I signed up but that probably doesn’t matter anyway.

Does anyone know if Crunch has a policy of automatically continuing the contract after it expires unless you notify them that you do not want to keep your membership? I will be in touch with them but would like to know some facts beforehand and I don’t have all the paperwork I got from them when I first signed up.

Thanks a lot for any information!

Yes, If you sign up for the direct debit they will continue to charge you until you tell them you are cancelling it. When cancelling you have to give one months notice.

Thanks for the information, I thought there might be something like that going on. My own fault obviously and a lot of money spent for nothing but atleast I know better next time!
