    Both

    http://www.pokernews.com/live-reporting/ept-dublin/event1/

    and

    http://www.pokerlistings.com/live-tournaments/ept/season4/ept-dublin/live-updates?hindicator=All%20Hands&day=1a

are doing live updates and i'm sure many more. Got a text off Jayminator earlier to say he's at a table that includes Johnny Lodden, Conor Doyle and Michael Muldoon and he's already overplaying his AK and getting Muldoon to fold a set on the flop....ridiculous fold

    taken from the above link..

Michael Muldoon Rues the Extra 5k!

Michael Muldoon limped UTG with {6-Spades}{6-Clubs}, the cut off raised to 350, Jay O'Toole called from the small blind and so did Michael.

The flop came down {A-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{6-Hearts} and Jay bet out 1,100. Michael raised to 3,200 and the cut off folded. Jay made it 9,000 total and Michael putting him on a set of sevens folds to be shown the {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}.

Michael took time out to tell me that had he had 10,000 starting chips instead of 15,000 he is never folding a set there and gets a double up.

Very poor turnout for day 1a 91 players. I think the €8000 buy in is beginning to hurt

Best of luck to the Clamper and all the Irish looking to keep the title on Irish soil.

Clamper is starting off tomorrow, got his ticket in the super sat last night.

91 players today is a very poor show. I heard they are thinking there will only be about 120 starting tomorrow.

just as well they upped the starting stack to 15k from 10k or it would be finished well within time

This looks like an amazing decision for a player who did not show. Would it happen in any other game / sport

    Saving Billirakis
According to tournament director Thomas Kremser, Steve Billirakis' chip stack has been removed from play and he will be permitted to play tomorrow. Kremser informed us that they are still unsure of Billirakis' whereabouts, and did not want to punish him in his absence.

Steve will start Day 1b with a full 15,000 chip stack.

It must be like watching paint dry if this is the only update from the last 20 minutes on http://www.pokerlistings.com/live-tournaments/ept/season4/ept-dublin/live-updates?hindicator=All%20Hands&day=1a

Pascal Perrault just got involved in a small hand with two other players and opted to bow out, releasing his hand on the turn. It began with one player limping in and Perrault raising to $225 from the cut-off. The big blind made the call, as did the limper, and the flop came Jc-8h-6h. It was checked around and the turn brought the 7s. The big blind led out for $500 and the original limper quickly folded. Perrault took one last look at his hand before doing the same and shipping the small pot to his opponent.

If the super sat is anything to go by then the players will not be the most talkative group you are likely to come across.

I'm going to head over tomorrow at some stage but I don't think it will even nearly compare with the atmosphere at for example the IO or even the WSOP.

So all EPT events had not had 15k starting stacks this season??

If so that is pretty ridiculous imo.

It just sounds like something that might be done in a 30 quid freezeout, ah theres not many here, we'll give em some extra chips to play with.

Didnt think something major like that would be done at the last second at an EPT.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 375 ✭✭kebabfest

I see Muldoon is out. Cant get over that set fold.

PokerNews has also spotted Annette "Annette_15" Obrestad scouting out the tournament area. The talented, young Norwegian is scheduled to play tomorrow, much to the dismay of . . . well . . . everyone else in the field.

why the dismay at this

I think he bought in direct
That AK raise is frightfully bad.

Jay said he made it 7500. He had 8k left should Muldoon come over the top. After a bit of speechplay on the flop, Jay told Muldoon that he was only worried that he slowplayed pocket aces, so Muldoon put him on set of 7s, showed and folded.

So when Muldoon raised to 3200, Jay decided, feck it, I'll see if I can get him to fold a set?

In fairness, Muldoon never usually has it. Calling him down would acceptable. But the re - raise is crazy.

Also looks like Muldoon gets slightly confused on the odd occassion he does have it.
